Hate to be that guy, but I need clear and concise instructions on how to install graphics mods. I moved the files into the mod folder on Yuzu that I got from theboy181's github, and have checks in the boxes, but I don't notice any difference between having the 2k mod enabled and not. Help? I just need a mod that I can drag and drop that works.

*Edit* - I'm not comfortable using python to edit files, and would appreciate if someone would just upload a 4k resolution & 60fps mod for the 1.2.1 version to where I can just drag and drop it into my mods folder, thanks.

Use Vulkan. Problem solved. The only issue i have will probably never get fixed and that is the lack of "motes" aka light particles that rise from bodies.

this is a know issue with yuzu, check their github. use latest driver 22.11.2 and switch over to opengl when in pentelas region

Vulcan has issue that currently make it unplayable at lest with amd gpu and cpu or my current set up drivers that or 1.2.1 of the game no im so opengl looks like the best for me atm

Since Yuzu EA 3185 I guess you can use both Vulkan and OpenGL to bypass Pentelas vertex explosions issue with AMD cards. Mine is a RX 580 and going fine. But to avoid any issues at all, you can go with EA 2920, doing the same to bypass Pentelas region.

I got several problems running this game on emulation, different problems on different emulators, and unfortunately the problems are severe enough for me personally that it's unplayable on Yuzu or Ryujinx.

- Ryujinx: Random crashes in Vulkan or OGL, and frequently crashes in menus. Totally unplayable, I can't even equip my characters, or tab through the menus. Latest version of Ryujinx 1.1.500. It doesn't appear to suffer from performance degredation on Ryujinx, but that's probably because the game doesn't run for very long without crashing.

- Yuzu: Random crashes, but less than Ryujinx, even when it doesn't crash, performance seems to gradually degrade over the course of 20 minutes until it finally crashes. So I can play up to about 20 minutes without crashing, but then it crashes after a period of time almost like clockwork. I tried the latest Yuzu, and I even tried the dirty build floating around that supposedly fixes the memory leak (it doesn't).

How do I make this game playable? I can tolerate a crash rarely, but every 1-20 minutes is just too frequent to be playable for me.

PC specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Ram: 16GBs DDR4 3200mhz
GPU: GTX 1080ti
OS: Windows 10 64 bit

Also, I don't get anywhere near 60fps with the 60fps mod on Yuzu, so I don't know what CPU you need, but it's a lot more than a Ryzen 5 5600x. I average 40-50fps, at no point do I ever hit 60fps. So, what sorta NASA super computer CPUs do you all got to hit 60fps pegged with the mod?

No crashing here, even if I quickly navigate in menu. Same with amd cpu and nvidia gpu and 16gb ram. Latest ver. of ryujinx and yuzu ea (whatever version is the latest yesterday), latest driver. The only problems are just in yuzu ea the graphics sometimes degrade (flickering), and the particle effects still not perfect in two of them. One and a half hour each. The mods I use are only the motion blur and scaling related thing.

The things you can do just the usual, purge emulator shader cache (maybe also driver's), don't use mods or at least try one at a time. Or maybe someone with the same specs as you know some specific solution.

Any reason to update for 1.2.1 if I am not interested in DLC's content? I set-up everything for 1.1 version some time ago but due to some issues I had no time to play. In first few areas it seems that game runs pretty well 4k / 60 FPS(with drops to 50s in first base). Does the version 1.2.1 increases performance or fix missing parciles?

Odd. I have a Intel Core i7 9700, 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz and a RX 580 and since 3185 runs fine, apart the know issues that is wip. Run on a SSD or HDD?

First of all, turn off the 60fps mod. Turn off the 4k mod. Your CPU/GPu are not fast enough. Second, if you're using the mods, don't touch the resolution inside Yuzu settings. resolution should be chosen using the corresponding mod.

The game runs flawlessly for me now. Motes and everything show up too.

I don't know about performance (I'm also setting up 1.2.1 myself at the moment), but in terms of gameplay, prior to version 1.1.1, most food effects did not work. 1.2.0 also fixed some collectopedia items not being obtainable so if you care at all about food buffs or being a completionist it's recommended to update to 1.2.1.

What yuzu version do you use ? I use the yuzu EA latest version and still having issues light particle .
