I need to find a bracelet: does this exist?

I'm looking for a device (like a bracelet) that pairs with my laptop and will lock it if I'm no longer nearby. I'm sure it exists but I forgot the name. Any ideas?

Is it not just a NFC (near field contact) lock? Plenty of options there, though generally NFC is more of a commercial/business laptop feature than something I see wired into in most consumer/gamer gear but addons are addons.

Bluetooth ones also exist but those are more dubious from where I sit.

In that case you may want to look into setting a bios startup/firmware password so the laptop is unable to boot without this password.

Don't leave it unlocked when you're not actively watching it? I doubt a thief would grab it from right in front of you.
If theft is a high risk where you live/in the situations you use your laptop, consider buying a kensington lock.

Edit: I think you can do it with any bluetooth device. Say for example a bluetooth mouse if you use one. Or maybe better yet, your smartphone. As soon as it isn't detected anymore, the computer will lock. Not sure what there is for OS X but Windows has this feature built in (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...-from-it-d0a5f536-74ac-0859-820a-4140dac9fcaf), presumably something similar must exist for OS X.

i would suggest some kind of bluetooth device
ages ago this was pssible with the sony t610 phone and some awesome dedicated app, nowadays i think there are tools
