Have you hacked your Switch without making an Emunand?
If this is the case it would mean your Sysnand has all your dirt on it and this falls outside the ideal state described above.

Do you have a clean backup of your Sysnand prior to hacking?

I never made an emunand... I have a sysnand backup, but it is from long ago and not sure how clean it is...

If you don’t have a clean point in time copy of your Sysnand you are essentially self banned regardless. The only possible way would be to attempt to run Haku33 on your current Sysnand to completely wipe everything and rehack your Switch with an Emunand this time. You would have to hope you don’t get flagged with your cleaned up Sysnand but without a clean backup there aren’t any other options.

No, not without cleaning you Sysnand with something like https://github.com/StarDustCFW/Haku33.

Your GC will update itself once you disable the safe guards for preventing GC firmware updates that @Hayato213 linked to above. Once you do that your GC will be enabled and it will automatically update.

If you want to use cartridge and cfw on the same nand you need to disable nogc

I do a full backup to a new SDCard every couple of weeks and then use the new card and out the old card into a rotation with several others. That way I have a couple iterations of backups. Probably a bit paranoid but that’s the insurance I buy myself.

Correct. AutoRCM “corrupts” your official bootloader by flipping a couple bits at the beginning causing the system to panic and boot into recovery mode. Just a creative, and yes convenient, way to force it into RCM instead of shorting out pins. You need a payload injector no matter what (unless you modchip it or put in a Trinket M0.)

Think the problem is the prodinfo since it is a from a donor nand

I don't have the console now, and as far as I know, prodinfo and the keys are not from a donor, but from my console.

I wrote. I just don't have a console and I'm not very good with terminology. There is a donor NAND on the set-top box and my dad substitutes the keys for his native NAND so that the set-top box just starts up. I'll try to explain in more detail in the morning if you'd like. Sorry if I wrote something stupid somewhere

It count as donor if you used someone else key.

Since you’re running AMS we need contents.

Somehow you ended up looking for cheats in the SXOS folder structure. We need to change a setting somewhere. I’m downloading a 6G file to test something else…as soon as it’s done I’ll check, in the mean time see if yiu set something funky somewhere when you started up Breeze and I’ll check back with you in a bit.

okay so whilst I am backing up these roms I have followed the switch hacking guide and used my laptop to inject payload on a fresh memory card just to establish that I'm good to go before I start to wipe everything.
works fine as expected.
also tried to use my ns atmosphere payload injector dongle with the fresh new memory card and it throws up a boot error about wrong version.
I expected this, is it just a matter of changing the payload file on the dongle itself to the updated version that i launched from my laptop using the tool?

I downloaded the sigpatches from the thread (not the auto generator, just the file attached) and pasted them in their respective folders. then i followed this tutorial on how to install tinwoo and inject games (downloaded from nsw2u). I have a couple question

1st. the downloads contain multiple files (dlc, updates and the big file). I don't know if I have to select them all and then they merge together
2nd. I use tinwoo, install via usb etc... it gives me invalid nca signatures error, when i dismiss it it gives me another error, code: 2168-0001 (0x2a8) and program 01000000000100D, what to do?

The files are mixed, some are nsp some are nsz, i tried installing a singular nsz and nsp file. same result

1. Well, you have to install every DLC file which depends on the game since some games package all the DLC as one while others have multiple DLC installments. As for updates, you only ever install the latest update
2. Try launching TinWoo Installer using title override meaning hold R over an existing title to open the homebrew menu then launch TinWoo Installer
