What if Sony...

What if Sony never patches any of the PS4 kernel exploits, which means devs don't release anything because they say they will release when they get patched.
By doing nothing, Sony prevents piracy.

(Just a funny idea, because I know Sony does patch stuff)

cearp, good idea. So Someone at sony might be spy here and learn something from your idea and tell them not to patch things. Good idea. LOL! :rofl2:

The problem with patching exploits is first finding them.
Sony themselves employ a team of hackers that poke around and find vulnerabilities.

Talented coders/hackers also take peeks inside the firmware and sometimes, their findings get patched before they fully exploited it but other times, they never get patched.
Depends on how they have exploited it.
