the memchunkhax2 hype post with .3dsx

there is more going on in the comments that this post is somewhat outdated now.
read this. it's important.
  • you cannot use this for downgrading, installing .CIAs, etc. yet. it is purely for testing.
  • when you post results, include your model, entry point, and full firmware version (e.g. 10.3.0-28E).
  • this has pretty much no risk of bricking as it doesn't write to the NAND or anything. with that in mind I am not responsible if anything weird happens so run this at your own risk.
  • if you get a test value of DEADCAFE then it has worked.
  • this might help with getting "DEADCAFE":

N3DS JPN 10.3 I got a bunch of zeros pressed start and it took me back to the hbl is that good? (menuhax auto boot)

@4ur0r, Voxel is attempting that now. I don't have a hardmod but im pretty hard from all the hype from Ptrk25's success

@GoldenHamburger Yes, you need a hardmod because there is a very, very, very high chance of bricking. Without one, although you can still attempt to downgrade, if something breaks your 3DS will likely never work again (assuming you also do not have a NAND backup)

To get back on topic... what's the consensus for using this exploit? Should I keep my N3DS on 9.9 until further development, or go ahead and update to 10.3?

Same launch rate? Voxel Studios seemed to update his console, which is why I was wondering. I also seem to have a pitiful launch rate for the exploit. If 10.3 works better with it, I'd rather just go ahead and update.

I got the memchunk to load and selected the downgrade version but then it says it can't get info from CIA. If im correct the 9.2 files should be under x:/updates/<files> right?

I can't even get DEADCAFE still... even with the FTP trick. :/

Yes, just make sure that you're using the proper n3ds/o3ds install files, because I made that mistake and got that error.
