Stupid Mobile Game Nostalgia

Ok, so I grew up in the age of stupid mobile games targeting children, and those were free. Small me thought "why would I buy games when I get the same enjoyment for free?". But now, sadly, I don't really have a specific nostalgic game, as I cycled often because games were free and I could get them at any time, and for the most part, none of them are good besides Minecraft, which leaves me with very little games that I played from my childhood that I want to play now. Hearing people talk about GC and Wii from their childhood makes me really regret not buying more games for the Wii I had as a child, instead of settling for shitty idle games. Every time I hear Scott the Woz talk about the early 2000s, it makes me feel sad that I don't have any good childhood games besides Galaxy. Does anyone else fell this way as well?

same kinda. i was born in the gamecube early-middle era, but i didn't really get into gaming until the past 5 or 7 years or so. my family had a wii and used to play Ghostbusters and mario kart on it but then my brother broke it by sticking coins inside of it. Really the only reason why i got into gaming was because of minecraft for the ps3. now that im older and looking back, i missed out on a LOT of good games

best game is angry birds tho, don't @ me.

Yes and no.

Had a NES at one point (though had things before that too). Had about 10 games for it ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-not-so-remembered-game-that-means-a-lot-to-you.575380/ ) and friends not so many more.
Compared to the full even PAL NES library I missed out on a fair bit vs those that might have become familiar via emulation in the years since.

Also GC as being old news... wow I am old. I also thought this might be about nostalgia for snake. Mind you nibbles.bas and gorilla.bas from qbasic were things I played at school before they deleted them (literally the lunchtime before I was going to grab them to floppy disc in case they did that -- data that does not exist in more than one place was a lesson beaten into me that day) and for some reason I did not have them at home.
