PSP Go or 3DS?

My b-day is coming soon and I don't know what I should get for myself.
I sold my old iPhone 3GS for about 300$ and know I'm using the iPhone 4.
So I got myself 300$ and I'm deciding what I should get on my b-day (yes, I'm making a present to myself).
I first wanted a 3DS but its useless atm. and they don't sell games for it in my area.
But know I'm searching in amazon for the PSP go which is 120-170$, and as I heard its really easy to hack.
And it has 16gb internal memory so I won't have to buy a memory card for it.
But the 3DS update is going to be here in a couple of hours, so maybe its not that useless.
+ 3D, the psp doesn't have that,
I have never seen a 3DS in 3D in my life and I would love to see the experience.
The 3DS is kinda pricy, 250$, it costs more than a Wii.
The 3DS isn't hacked, but the PSP Go is.

So as you see, I don't know which to get.
Please advise me.

EDIT: I WILL GO PIRATE ANYWAYS, BECAUSE THATS THE ONLY REASON TO GET A PSP GO, DUH!

and everyone forgot to mention that the 3ds is small.. i traded mine in because the whole 3d gimmick was awful and to me it didnt even look 3d just one huge blur that caused painful headaches.. nintendo will probably release a bigger one in the next year so buying the tiny one with a bad battery life is pointless.. i have a psp go and i play it alot more especially now since its hacked

It kinda ruins the point of the system, especially when the game library is pretty weak at the moment and not nearly as established as the PSP's.

I'm saying go with the Go. Hack it and play any PSP game you want on it, minus the bulk of a normal PSP and with a better screen and some cool features. I wrote a review recently but I'm too lazy to dig it up.

That and you have a major fetish for the Go

I don't think appreciating an awesome device is a "fetish". And I see people here much more obsessive with Nintendo Product X than I am with a PSP.

Well that's because you're one of few non-Nintendo fanboys here. You're not even a Sony fanboy. In fact, you're more of a rebel.

I have to agree with Guild here - as of today, I'd go for the GO (see what I did there?).

The console gets cheaper by the minute, has decent graphics, allows great online multi experiance, has a large library of titles, it's entirely homebrew'able... It's just "better" as of today.

Personally I'd choose earlier models, for example the 200x or the 300x due to the fact that they have nifty UMD readers and video-outs, but that's my personal preference.

Well, if you actually want to play retail games then you'd obviously got with a 1000/2000/3000. Otherwise, if you're going 100% piracy, the GO is just better. It can easily sell for around the same price range as the other models. Even if it's more pricey, it has the 16GB storage to save the cost of spending $50 (for the US, at least) on a same-sized memory card. The PSP Go also has video out though (they just condensed charging, video out, and USB connection to a single port).

Side note, most Go haters have never actually played with one. I own one. oj owns one (right?). prowler_ owns one. We actually have experience in the device and we're all pretty attuned to the library. You want suggestions, we got 'em. I'm just saying that taking the "Go sucks!" argument from people who have no experience with the device or from critics who only look at ti from a purely "legal" standpoint isn't the correct way to look at it.

EDIT: I can't really argue this point anymore. All my points can be seen here and here.

Were they both the same price I would say 3DS purely because it's at the start of its lifespan.
Go is cheap as anything now though, has much better games as of now.
To be honest the only game coming for 3DS that I truly am missing is MGS3D but looking at how they downgraded everything in gameplay from PS2 I'm wondering if Nintendo made a bad choice only putting the hardware they did into 3DS.

since you're asking this in a nintendo-fanboy-based forum, it seems as though you want us to persuade you to get a 3DS. hence; you want the 3DS more.

i think you should get a PSPgo.
the PSPgo has a small enough library of great games that they'd probably all fit at once if you get a 16GB M2 card to compliment your 16GB of system storage.
at least they do for me. also, the pspgo is classy. it just feels like a higher class item.
the 3DS looks like a kids toy (not trolling, promise).

also, the PSPgo is the last new PSP model. whereas the 3DS will get slimmed down in a couple years and will have added features with newer models.

i say get the PSP now, and get the 3DS later when it actually has real gamez instead of just gimmicks for kiddies and remakes for fanboys.

saying "BUT 3DS HAS ZELDA" isn't really justifiable - not everyone gives a shit about it.
i care about it, but it's not gonna make me jump to buying a 3DS. i just got my PSPgo a week ago.
