January, 2011. That's when I joined GBAtemp. It's difficult to explain how fast this time has gone by, in some ways it's quite frightening.
I remember it like yesterday, I was in the same room, same house, looking for troubleshooting tips for my R4i gold pro, which just wouldn't work with my DSi (which I've finally restored to a mostly working condition last year). I still remember trolling on the EoF. In fact, I'm constantly reminded of those times by some users here on the forum who for some reason scour my threads and posts from 2011-2014 periodically.
There are countless websites and communities on which I have registered and never looked back on. This includes IRCs, TeamSpeak, discords etc. It's almost cyclic. However, GBAtemp is a constant in my online presence. I don't know why, but I'm always here for some reason. Maybe it's the community, maybe it's the awesome staff members, maybe it's the audience of both of the podcasts I manage.
Oh, about those podcasts. 2020 was a year I decided to give back to the community of GBAtemp. I'm honestly not skilled in hacking, programming, developing anything really, sometimes I feel like I don't even deserve the position of Moderator, since so many people are way more knowledgeable on the forum here than I am. I've made a couple of smileys I guess...
One time a couple of staff members were talking about a tempcast revival and I was asked if I could participate, I agreed and kindly received somewhat proper audio equipment for recording. Unfortunately, this revival failed, which is why I decided to direct my efforts into the EoFCast. After that, a new, successful Tempcast revival had blossomed. I am very thankful for listeners of both podcasts, I still can't fathom that people across the world are listening to my voice and opinions. Hopefully, they don't take them too seriously.
Thank you GBAtemp for these wonderful 10 years, here's to 10 more!
