Ok this is just something ive been thinking about for a little while. it is a rant. reader discretion advised. jk.

So ive been a pokemon fan ever since I randomly picked pokemon Yellow as a 4th grader. I had an amazing time playing that game. i played for like the entire summer and into fifth grade(until i found Dragon Warrior monsters, my favorite game ever). so i almost refused to move on to the next generation. i hated the new pokemon(lol i was a weird kid, i didnt like change) until the beginning of the summer after 7th grade. i loved silver. to this day its my favorite pokemon game.

I would go on to play sapphire and never finish it. I actually got the closed to finishing a pokedex with yellow. i only traded with like 1 other person too. i think i topped out at 127.

anyway, i was going to pick up one of the diamond or pearl versions, but something hit me. Why are the pokemon battles still static? why dont battles go into like a "pokemon satatium" kind of mode? the ds has the power to do it. DQM pulled it off. Quite nicely too.

Because every pokemon game is the same and its much easyer to make the same game with a few diffrent things each time then it would be to code from the ground up and even tho it is the same game people continue to buy it... heh

What i still dont like about pokemon is how slow thebattles are, the ones in br seem to go much faster and smoother.

I bet i can make 50 more pokemons with paint, create a new world with some map editor, add in some new items and 5 more skills, a contradicting legendary for 2 versions, and compile it, calling it the pokemon white version and the black version.
and we can see $$$
this is all they are doing.

it's better than FFIII ds, where you will encounter an enemy every 5 seconds, and the battles take forever. If you do it correctly, then you'll find yourself "overleveled" but then when you meet the boss, you can barely beat it.

They should seriously make a Pokemon game where you actually control the Pokemon instead of just assigning commands, it's really getting OLD.

It's called "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" :O Theres like 3 games made already.

If you're wondering, what I meant was controlling Pokemon in battles like how you control a character in a fighting game like KoF or Tekken.

Exactly, only the roster is made up of 400+ Pokemon.

Maybe earlier if they use the same style they did with the Stadium/Battle Revolution games, same attack effects, different model skins(or sprites).

Because that would kill the purpose of games such as Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Coliseum and Pokemon Battle Revolution, and hence kill off a bit more potential income for Nintendo.

Pokemon Battle Revolution < Worthless


The pokemon team needs to do this on a handheld, Along with the full experience of an Rpg adventure like the Main series.
