holy shit i've been listening to the final boss music for HOURS and it still bops.

I don't know WHAT they did, I don't know HOW many cans of redbulls they drunk, every, god, damn, song, is, fucking, AMAZING.
Even the TUTORIAL music is good which is just Funiculi Funicula (especially the old version which is basically the entire thing).
Point is, god i love pizza tower.

Just looked at the final boss fight on YouTube.

Boy, this game is fast.

I would probably loved this 15 years ago, when my reflexes and reaction time were better.

come to think of it, pizza tower has that 2009 flashgame look and feel (but yknow, actually good and not terribly shitty)
I kinda like it

Flash games!? Browser games?? Ugh. No, thanks. Wouldn't have thought of that.

Pizza Tower does look interesting to me. I'm just too old to deal with that kind of speed and requiring super short mini-split-second reaction times.
There are some games where I can still pull off some insane speed… but mostly due to having every required move saved in muscle memory since childhood.

Another bummer: Expensive and… available only on Steam → 🤮 ← Bloated background launcher, DRM, privacy issues → toxic waste → No money from LittleSinchen.

Yeah, about that, I actually played it pirated and LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF GAMEPLAY, I FELT THE GUILT RUNNING DOWN MY THROAT. I beat the game but I deleted it afterwards and as soon as I get the money, I WILL buy this game.

It's so f'ing good.

edit: i don't think it has DRM...

Very few Steam games work without having the Steam launcher installed and active (I'm by no means an expert with that, but I actually signed up at Steam and bought such games… just to kick Steam of my SSD a second after having downloaded the games. I just could not resist after having seen Cally's Caves)

I know there are some apps recreating the Steam framework (no idea if this is the correct word) for being able to start the majority of games without the official launcher. No, thanks. That should bypass the Steam DRM/Steam requirement (though not additional rubbish such as Denuvo on so-called AAA titles)
But: Jumping through hoops, bypassing restrictions, having to install additional software → NO!

For me "DRM free" means: Install → Simply works on it's own by default.

If you downloaded an illegal version of the game it is most likely stripped off any requirements and thus superior to the legal version. If the illegal version is clean (no malware), I'd keep it even after buying the game. Just like a No-CD crack: The cracked version is the better one, even when having the legit CD.

It's not that I think it has malware, I just feel extremely guilty because this became one of my favourite platformers of all time just by playing it ONCE. And I didn't pay a DIME for it.

I usually don't feel bad for piracy because, guess what, if nintendo is doing evil things, then so shall I. I'm not gonna feel guilty for not buying a switch for 300$ and a game which costs 60$ with no price drops whatsoever.

But pizza tower is from a passionate group of devs who actually know what they're doing and it's just 20$.

(also yes I played the entirety of this game without even touching steam)
