My relocation to Malta is canceled

well I had expected this happened sooner, but finally my future manager replied (and apologized) that it came into this. Unfortunately my situation has become complicated to the point that it will take 6 months for me to start working after I got the offer. So after I got the skilled worker permit, here are the hoops that I must go through:

- asking for the visa authorities to authorize my visa application (2 months)
- coordinating with the maltese embassy in beijing to process my long stay visa
- sending my passport there
- resigning my from my current employer
- entering red country and staying there for 14 days
- quarantine for 14 days
- finding a lease
- exchanging my work permit with residence permit

the whole process is too complicated, and to be honest, I personally had enough with the maltese bureaucracy. Well I hope the labor shortage there will increase the wage there now that less foreigners will come to Malta to work.

now applying jobs again. this time I will not make the same mistake and will not apply jobs in country where the ease of doing business index is worse than my country.

Good luck, don't give up, if those are the steps you need to go through, at least you know them...!
But ok, if you are confident you can go through an easier route, that will still pay well, good luck with that too.
