Last time I bought a computer I paid 3,000$ for it, so when I bought this I thought it was dirt cheap @ 750$. I owned a laptop before but when my niece went to college she needed one and I gave mine.

I'm happy with my purchase.

I've never had bad luck with Dell and battery life does not concern me that much since all the places I plan on using it the most will have a power outlet.

Well, I have had 100% failure rate on Dell batteries. True, I have only had one, but still...

It died after about a year and thereafter did not function at all. I have heard of others with similar predicaments, but usually their batteries still last 20-30 minutes after they "die".
