Failure to comply

So as you may or may not know, we get into a lot of stupid shit here at college.
What with one drinking violation,
neeeeeeearly another one,
plenty of alcomohol in the dorms,
and most recently a failure to comply.
So, they said they "smelled beer"
(I mean, honestly it was a Friday night, the entire place smells of beer)
They said they heard people talking about drinking
("Drink up" "We've got plenty" shit like that)
(Honestly I dunno if we said exactly that even, but that was what was on the report)
When we heard the knock we shut the music off fucking instantly
(which was mistake number 1)
And they heard "scuffling"
(Yeah, we were hiding everything)
The dude knocked like 5 times
(Sounded like he was trying to knock the door down or something)
Said we'd get a failure to comply if we didn't open the door.
We didn't open the door.
They left, and we got the hell out of the room shortly after.
So, on to the excuses part.
We can't just say nothing, we need a legit excuse or else they will charge one hell of a ticket.
Best excuse I've heard so far is that we were watching a vid of our friends on Facebook and listening to music as well.
Loudly of course, it's Friday night, why the hell not.
So when we heard the knock the scuffling was going to the computer to turn off the vid and turn the music off.
The not answering the door is because we didn't want to have to show the video to them cuz it could have gotten them in trouble.
The smell of beer could just be like "what smell of beer?"
Sounds like a pretty good excuse, eh?
If you've got a better one that covers these main points I'd like to hear it.
So yeah,
Peace!
(Need a new siggie...)

AHh Americans and your age limit of 21 for drinks.
When i go to Uni i'll be 18 and be able to buy drink in the UK. So I'm not going have trouble with this :D

Why does america have to have the fail drinking age.....You can do anything else in the world when your 18 but noooo you have to wait till your 21 to drink (legally anyway)

And I don't know what to tell you....excuse sounds pretty good so far (but honestly I wouldn't risk posting this on the internet they can try and track this kinda stuff you know?)

At 18 you can be drafted into the military to fight, and possibly die, for your country... but you cannot legally drink.
God Bless A'murika.

True, perhaps I shouldn't post this on the interwebs, but they're not interviewing me, and there's no correlation between my friend and I and this site.
I've done pretty well to keep myself anonymous on this site outside of that one occurrence a while ago...

And drinking age doesn't really stop us here.
Though I suppose it's reasonable for them not to wanna have alcohol in the dorms, though it'd be a much less harsh punishment if the legal age was 18 I'm sure.
And we've got a full proof plan now.
(Well, one more point needs to be answered)
Here's the plan:
He's gonna say his friends came down for the weekend, they were drinking on the way down
(That covers the smell part)
We were playing music like motherfuckers cuz it was only 10 on a Friday night, what do you expect to happen?
(Not a lie)
They were telling stories of the night before as it was St. Pat's day
(Covers the talk about drinking)
Only thing that really needs a bit more elaboration is why we didn't open the door.
Because they didn't wanna get caught not living there and get a drinking violation since they were underage?
Perhaps.
Suggestions welcome, interview thingie on Friday
Yup yup.

For anybody wondering about drinking age, it's where it is for a reason in America, and really, should be higher. Alcohol damages the brain when drank regularly, and really badly when binge drinking happens (which, hey, lots of college kids tend to binge drink, even if they don't mean to). Now, take into account that generally, high schoolers and college students love to party. They end up damaging part of their brain that has not finished developing yet, because alcohol just seemed so tempting.

Drinking age should be a strict 23 or 25 to guarantee completed development of the brain, but it will never happen, as people will bitch.
