Ever since I dropped out of school (I'd rather not get into details, so please don't ask about it), my life has just felt lackluster and boring. I regret dropping out, but nothing I can really do now, aside from taking the GED test and possibly going to college. I need to get a job as well, but I REALLY don't want to work somewhere I'll detest, such as McDonald's (I worked there before, and it was terrible), or a clothing store. I'd like to work at GameStop, because despite the pay, it's something I'd remotely enjoy. Gonna submit an application there sometime next month, so hopefully I'll get hired for the "holiday rush."
My life just hasn't gone anywhere since I dropped out. All I want to do is sit and play video games, do shit on my computer, and listen to music all day. I can't find the motivation to actually grow up. I don't know if it's depression, the inability to do certain things (I'm overweight, like 300 pounds or so, and it just seems that because I'm fat, I can't do most things other people can, and I can't), or something else. I've been like this most of my life, with pretty much anything I do...And even though I'd always try to push through, suck it up, etc. it just wasn't enough.
Oh well, enough personal talk...I'm excited for Minecraft 1.8. The new terrain generation features (Rivers, ravines, mountains, strongholds, abandoned mines, etc.) are probably what I'm most excited for. I really like the look of the NPC villages, but I probably won't interact with the NPCs too much. Then there's Gears of War 3 next month, which I have no idea how I'm gonna purchase. Quite a few of my friends are going to be purchasing it at launch, and I'd like to be able to as well. And then in October, Battlefield 3 is coming out, but I'm still not 100% sure if I'm getting it or not. And of course, November...Modern Warfare 3! I'm very excited for this, and I'll definitely be getting it on launch. I loved MW2, and this is looking to be a great sequel to it.
In other news, The Devil Wears Prada's new album, Dead Throne, was put up for streaming on http://www.deadthrone.com, and it is AMAZING! Not my favorite album by them (With Roots Above And Branches Below holds that position for me. :3), but it's definitely up there. People have already ripped the album from the SoundCloud thing (What they're using to stream it), so I downloaded it. I'm glad it was put up so early, as I'm going to be going up to my camp during Labor Day weekend, and I was hoping to be able to listen to it up there, just like I did with their last album. So yay for that.
That's really all for this blog. tl;dr: Life is boring, no motivation to do anything or grow up, waiting for Minecraft 1.8, Gears 3, and MW3, TDWP's new album is amazing.
