Whoa - Just looked @ my Youtube views

Not a rant this time (for a change).......

There I was - in work - not actually doing much at the time... when a workmate commented on how many people have viewed a video he'd done & posted onto Youtube....

So naturally I said 'Ha! is that all....' (I knew I had a Youtube video with more views than that) so he asked to show him the video

Off we went to my Youtube channel, & I sorted my list as 'Most viewed' - & boy !!! Was I suprized :blink: .....

The video I THOUGHT that had the most views

had actually been knocked off the top spot by

(Still, I've got a long way to catch My Neice 'Most Viewed' Video though :cry: )

But it got me thinking - with all those GBATemp Members who has the highest 'Most Viewed' Video ??
(I bet there's gotta be someone else with 'OVER 9000 !!' :rofl: :unsure: )

I also have to say that this animation took the least time out of everything I've ever done and everyone IRL I showed it to thought it was stupid, yet it's damn popular...popular enough that YT wanted to commercialize it..course I couldn't do that since it has copyrighted characters...thank god for newgrounds and its copyright-bending API! XD

Oh, and as soon as it went over 9K, I KNEW I had to make that reference :P

My most viewed was a movie clip from Yes Man! (the one in which Carrey sings)
It got more than 100k views in a week, then I took it down because my channel is a gaming channel. And there was high chances of a copyright strike (I have two from uploading the Rockman.EXE Axess opening)

So now it's this piece of shit

I had that at first, but it said the video wasn't found, so then I tried fixing it with that. I just linked it because I couldn't get it to work.

Of course, the best way to get views is to feature magnets in the videos.
People are curious about things they can't explain.

Put this up a long time ago, years. It still gets a good 100 views a day and random comments. Kinda shocked how big it went. My next highest is one of my Skate 3 Videos, at 30 somthin thousand.

I made a video back about a year ago in response to the "What Happens When X Gets His/Her X" meme on YouTube and I got quite a lot of views on it.
It was "What Happens When the Hunter Gets His Pills" and it reached over 1,000,000 views. My second highest video is about 775k. I had about 3-4 videos at the time available for revenue sharing and 3 of 4 got accepted, while my highest viewing one at the time got declined, and got removed. Because of that, I removed the ability on my other 3 videos.

I can kinda say I had my 15 minutes of fame :)

I sorta did. The clip where JB gets blown up is taken from a more popular video. The MW2 clip I just found on YouTube. I put the two together as a joke, I was surprised it got as many views as it did.

    i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

    Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
