Rippin' Off People

People are so stupid nowadays with flashcarts, I could give them a slot 2 card and tell them it has unlimited free games and they would pay a million dollars

But I just sold a frickin R4DS for like 60 locally, I should start marketing them locally and get rich

Price @ Dealextreme for R4DS = $25.00
Price @ Locally for R4DS = $100.00

Everyone knows what a R4 is, it would make no sense selling better cards.
Then I would calls from all my buyers that "im nub becuz some gam dun wurk"

Bottomline: Ripping off is fun

Selling something for 60 dollars that allows you to play 2500+ games sounds pretty damn cheap to me

Thats mean, I sold an R4 to my brothers friend for $20 and still feel I ripped him off.

That's not a rip off, the R4 is good. Only problem is that the team is probably quitting soon.

What's wrong with it? It's not ripping off. In that context you could also conclude retail stores rip you off, because they charge more than they buy it for.

Ripping off is only fun if:

a). The person has lots of money
b). They are spoiled.
c). They are really stupid
d). They are annoying.


Bottomline: It's the other person's fault for not doing their research.

Its not ripping off...its making a profit. It is not the right of your buyer to be able to buy it at your cost. You took the time the buy it off DealExtreme, deal with the long ship time and find a buyer to buy it. That my friend is your EARNED MONEY.

Now if you're like another member here who thinks they can make money by returning discount games to Wal-Mart for a $60 refund bought from another store at $15, then that's plain ripping off and exploitation of a system.

This is a case of asymmetric information.

The flashcart market is therefore not considered to be perfectly competitive.

Price of two atypical games, is like 90 bucks taxes n all that crap added in.

Price of something you can get that will play ever DS game ever made. Well we can assume you won't like every DS game ever made, I think I can speak for all of us when I say that. So if it allows you to play YOUR top 10% of every DS game made, is something under 90 bucks a good deal or not?

That's basically it.

Now the cheaper you can get the item logically speaking the better. And if you buy 5 of them, and sell 4 to your buddies and they graciously all pay you 20 bucks on top of your cost per unit, you get yours for free. Seems like a fair deal to me :)

Well, with the R4 not being manufactured anymore and the R4 team basically ending support for it, this is just plain wrong selling these people R4 carts at that price.The R4 is buggy, the cheat support is extremely buggy and it only has 90% compatibility when it comes to homebrew and commercial games. Many newer games coming out now either don't work for the R4 and extremely buggy at best. Also the R4 doesn't support games with the new save type so any games released in the future with the save type won't be able to save their games on the R4.

So selling people an R4 at that price is just criminal and in most countries, have laws against it.

Well the one that I sold had a 1 gb microsd and that costs 30$ at futureshop here but 5$ at dealextreme

    i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect

    Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

    That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
