Scott Pilgrim (also)

Alright, Guild, you beat me to it, though I'll still talk about it since I just saw it.
I haven't started this thread yet, but I'm quite convinced there are going to be a shiiiiiit load of spoilers if you haven't read the comic.
If you haven't seen the movie either and want to know about the differences by experiencing it yourself you may not wanna read this either.
Skip down to the ---- part if you don't want spoilers.
Well, here it goes.
I quite liked the movie.
Like, a lot.
However, it won't stop me from complaining about it a little.
Though I'll probably praise it more.

Here were the positives:
The first 3/4ths or so of the movie were almost exactly like the comic book and it was incredible.
I loved seeing what I read come to life, and with such dignity.
They couldn't have pulled off the comic book adaption any better.
The actors were pretty well casted.
Cera was a good Scott Pilgrim, everyone else was a good wutever else.
The special effects were incredibly fun.
From the pow's to the unreal fights where gravity is defied.
It was great.
The humor was great as well.
It had the same humor as the comic books up till the end.

And now the negatives:
(remember, this is because I read the comic, if you haven't read the comic, you may love the movie more, if you have, you'll still like that there are these silly negatives)
So it's a silly complaint, but the ending was (obviously) different.
The 6th book wasn't out until the movie was finished, so it's impossible to expect the same ending.
The ending wasn't even bad, but it was nowhere nearly as good as the comic.
Gideon was introduced into the movie way before he was in the comic.
It kinda downed down the suspense that the book had by letting Gideon and Scott meet before their fight.
Ramona's ex girlfriend's plot was shortened, but I can let that slide as well because it would have made the movie longer.
Though it was a cool arc in the comic book.
(If you wanna call it that)
There were no robots.
Knives's fight with Ramona was during the fight with Gideon, which is different from the comic, but I see what the director was doing.
He had to include the fight, but needed to change when it would occur, so it worked with it at the end, though contributed to the different ending.
Knives's dad wasn't in it!
It was hilarious in the comic, and I'd have liked to see it, but nah.
Guess I'm not terribly disappointed in that.
Kim could have been cuter.
She was soooooooo cute in the comic.
She seemed a little less cute in real life.
But hey, wut'r ya gonna do?
Other complaints...
Scott never went in Ramona's bag!
That was hilarious and awesome in the comic!
I've got plenty of other useless complaints about it, but in the end, they're all because the comic and ending were different, which is a silly complaint.

----

As an action movie, it rocked.
As a comedy, it rocked.
As just a movie, it rocked.
It was a style of movie comparable (kinda) to "The Spirit"
A great movie, with a great ending.
Though it was a great comic with an even greater ending.
I loved both.
Go see it and read it.
Whichever order you want, cuz I'm not sure which one is better.
I mean, you'll get to see the comic book actually come to life in the movie
(for the first part at least)
Or you'll get to see a kick-ass movie and then get to see the movie turn into drawings.
Either way, it'll be a different ending.
The adaption of the comic to the movie was incredibly satisfying.
Go see it now.
Or read it now then see it...
Actually you've gotta read it.
Do both right now!
Peace!
