I finally came to the Dark Side

Well, I finally did it. I got myself a PS3. I bought a pre-owned 40GB for $200 and it came with everything except the controller (well it did, but it was a piece of junk), Modern Warfare 2, Guitar Hero 3, and the Les Paul controller (But no Dongle, boo...) But all-n all I think I got an awesome deal considering I really don't need all that much HDD space, since I can stream everything through PS3 media server. Oh, and the reason i'm not worried about the controller is I have a brand new Red Dualshock 3.

I also had borderlands that I "stole" from my brother, before I even bought it, so i'm all set for now. Oh, and I nabbed FFVIII from the PSN store. If the compatibility wasn't so poor on PC emulators, I would have just playes it on PC, but alas...

P.S.- There are two kinds of people on Modern Warfare 2. People who like the Carnival map, and people who are scared of clowns.

i'm enjoying mine so far, Fallout 3 and LBP are the games i've put time into

That's a nice deal. You might want some extra disc space later on, but don't worry about that; just use any laptop hard drive and it should work.

nice deal, but didn't the old Ps3's have a problem that ruined the whole system??

TBH the PS3 is darn good. I'm waiting to get my copies of Demon Souls and the GoW collection in the next few weeks.

And gif4, posts in the blog section are not counted into your Post Count.

I never said they were poor. Just the compatibility for that, and a few other games.

I've been a part of what you call the 'Dark Side' for a while. I would be playing Demon's Souls right now if it wasn't for my little brother's quaint insistance on building a shopping mall on Farcry 2 all damn day.

On the other hand, since he's now synched his PSN account to our PS3, I have the ability to steal all the DLC he's paid for. Including all the DLC for Warhawk, LittleBig Planet, Dragon Age Origins and the full game of Fat Princess with the DLC. Consider all that swiped.

But Final Fantasy 8 works perfectly on PC and doesn't have that grainy look that the ps3 emulator has. Just use ePSXe
