24 Hours in a Day is Never Enough.

Just when I start getting comfortable, no distractions, and I feel like me time has finally become me time... The clock strikes 4:30am.

I gotta get up for work in 4 hours. Fuck me. :\

I can try and stay awake all day, and I'll feel as chippy as I can be up to 11am, and I'll feel like passing out. How do those Chinese do it? I feel as if 24 hours in a day is never enough even when I'm staying up 20 of those hours on a daily basis. Why can't there be 30 hours in a day?
Someone take this "Why can't there be 30 hours in a day" question literally and provide an unnecessary scientific fact like the Earth takes 24 hours to rotate once in it's axis. It will be quite humorous if you made this sarcastic response.

Anyone else have a time complex?

"24 Hours in a Day is more than Enough"

Especially if you're stuck in work for 9 hours on Night shift - time really drags on..........

Type chronobiology 24 hours a day is not working for me neither.

After several weeks of such isolation, these cycles may get even longer—30 to 36 hours. For instance, a subject may stay awake for 20 hours, then sleep for 12, and feel completely fine

Heck no 24 sucks time seems to FLY LITERALLY, i despise it.

I also have. :/ The clock runs too fast, specially because I have to sleep 9 hours or more.
When I am enjoying what I am doing (playing a game, chatting with someone, etc), it is 5:30am or later and I am should already be sleeping.

'Cause of the way Earth works. :/

totally agreed!
24hours is nothing!
sleep 8hours
travel to work 1/2 hour
work 7 1/2 hours
travel home from work 1/2 hour
tea, time with the missus!
then its time to sleep again!!

i never ever seems to have a slow day, days, weeks, months just fly by!! quite scary really!

I know time's flying by lately for me as well, I to do school homework and I also have to do my own revising which is really time consuming. The best way to extend time during the day is to get up early, get any work you were planning on doing when you got home and then when you get back from work, you'll have more time for yourself (easier said then done). (but waking up early is a drag). I hate having to wake up at 7:00am.

Day always seems twice as long if I got up like 2 hours before school, you've done everything you wanted to in the day before school even starts so you have the afternoon to chill :P or do more of what you did this morning.

Better sleeps can help keep you awake, that means softer matressess pillows anything.

Caffeine also makes you feel as though time runs slower (for me anyway) but too much is 'not good'

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
