DS is more hardcore than PSP.

And let me make this clear. I'M NOT SAYING THE DS IS BETTER THAN THE PSP. I'M JUST SAYING THAT THE PSP ISN'T GODDAMN HARDCORE.

I NEVER SAID THAT THE DS WAS BETTER. I JUST SAID THAT THE DS HAS MORE GAMES THAT CAN QUALIFY AS "HARDCORE", WHILE THE PSP JUST HAS GAMES THAT ARE AIMED AT TEENAGERS. AND BECAUSE OF BLOOD AND GORE, IT'S CONSIDERED HARDCORE.

On a serious note, I think that NDS has fair amount of "hardcore" games, but it also has way more "childish" games, it's unbalanced, and that is the reason why people mostly refer to it as a children console/handheld.

While PSP has less games, less "hardcore" games but also less "childish" games, and that makes it appear "more hardcore"

IDK, DS is built pretty solidly, I think it has the harder core. But PSP is easier to take apart so I guess it depends on what you want to do with it.

Toni, I appreciate your modding and everything as usual. I have always respect your opinion and will always continue to do so.

What makes the PSP more "hardcore" than the DS? The DS has a significantly stronger library, and is simply considered nothing less than a child's device. The majority will see it that way due to nintendogs or whatever, but what about the people that have experience? How do they come to that conclusion? I just want to know.

Ok, that's perfectly reasonable, but as stated earlier, the DS still has a much higher number of these games. How can the PSP considered that much better when it can't even come close compete?

I edited again earlier post...I didn't managed to finish my opinion first time I've edited it..

Bottom point of it all is.....fanboys, I believe that Sony fanboys are in larger numbers and are louder. That is what basically makes PSP more hardcore then NDS.

I never saw any point in arguing over which system is better, which is more "true", or more "adult"..
It's matter of ones preference..

I enjoy Nintendo as I enjoyed it last 15 years. I like the style of games, and even tho I like to see pretty graphics, that's not what I look in the game.
PSP is mostly about that, graphics..no doubt that main points of "hardcore" games are blood/dark atmosphere/fast pace usually, stuff like that, are presented with better graphics..

Hardcore? I don't know about hardcore but DS is more oldschool.
I like my rpgs 2d and turn based. That's why I'm glad DS has limited hardware.

I agree, shooters don't work for the PSP, but at least the PSP HAS them, know what I mean? Might not be the best of game play with shooters, but the PSP has showed it has that ability. And yes, having touch screen controls does help game play out A LOT, but once again, it's all a matter of what games you like.
