Cat Orc..now with only half a tail

This morning I rescued my cat Orc (who is now a gbatemp meme) from being bummed by a fox. Since then she keeps on running in and out of the house as if her arse is on fire. Well just managed to see her properly and well her tail was hanging off.

I managed not to vomit and pick her off (it was gruesome) and now the Mrs has taken her to the vets to get her tail amputated. Poor little mite.

Thought I post here seeing some people have taken a liking to her.

Cat Orc likes it rough!

The Mrs is back from the vets, Orc past out from the pain and loss of blood and is now on a drip which is feeding her, rehydrating her and drugging her up.

Her leg was bitten too so she had to have some injections in case the fox had some diseases and her tail is pretty much clinging on to her by nerves which is just *shudder*. She is having an operation to have the her tail cut off but she'll keep just under half of it which is good as she can still use it for balance.

Its gonna cost us just under £700 for all this so I've got to pay half tomorrow when we pick her up, we can afford it but shit its a lot right? Had to drink some scotch when I saw the bill. Still I'd rather pay the money and have her around then put her down. We've got to keep an eye on her and make sure shes ok and feeds.

Evie has definitely got to keep her finger out of the cats asshole.

That's sad .

If my cat got in an accident like that...I would break down in tears and kill someone.

Hope it gets well soon, poor little thing.

700 pounds? Wow, I would never pay so much money for an animal, even if I love it very much. I've had some cats, and I loved some of them very much, but they all died because of an accident or running away. There were some I could have saved, but I didn't do it. No animal is worth 700 pounds, not even a 100 IMHO.

I think I paid about £60 just so my cat could have one of her teeth removed (broke it in half somehow, luckily she didn't get an infection or anything). Totally worth it. Can't put a price on life.

My cats tail got ran over a while back, but that was a car and she was alright in the end.

Poor Orc :(

Just read your Facebook post too, I'm so sad now

I hope nothing like that ever happens with any of my cats, having half a tail just looks so weird.

Well, maybe it doesn't look too bad on her, as she isn't really big...

I hope Polly doesn't get traumatized by seeing her kid with a piece missing...

I can sympathise with you. My cat got the end of its tail caught in a door and had to get part of it removed. The funny thing about it was that it has to wear one of those cones around its neck to stop biting at the stiches. Eating dinner was hilarious. It doesn't sound anywhere near as bad as getting mauled by a fox though.

That sucks man, poor Cat Orc.

I demand GBAtemp give her amputated tail a state funeral!
