I do wish the research tasks weren't so bloated, though - why do you need to catch five Oshawott/Rowlet/Cyndaquil, when they're the starters and you're only ever gonna use one? Why catch 7 "heavy" Bidoof, and how are you supposed to know what counts as "heavy" in the field? Same with 7 "large" Buizel? Needing to catch 20 Starly without being spotted is excessive, and needing to evolve three Starly/Shinx/Wurmple/etc. is pointless.

Ugh, just remove all the research task bloat and it'd be far more fun, in my eyes; that's just pointless grinding.

I do agree, it does ask the player to do too much for every pokemon
