Pokemon Moon First Impressions

i was excited to try this one. i know gens 1 to 4 like the back of my hand and i was somewhat familiar with gens 5 and 6 but had never played the games. i chose to start with moon cuz thats the one my best friend played and they loved it and recommended it to me all of the time

i played for like 3 hours and im really... annoyed

im used to long tutorials but sending me to school is almost unforgivable what the hell. also i really disliked that npcs blocked your path literally everywhere even to go back, once you start a conversation with someone you literally have no choice but to follow them into an cutscene or a trip i didnt know i was signing up for when i started the conversation

also i know pokemon loves to do this a lot but if i just got out of a minute long cutscene only to walk a single step and then start another cutscene at that point just combine the two

but yeah i havent gotten very far i got to the beach and im so annoyed that everyone tries to stop me to say something or show a new gimmick i just want to start my adventure already

i don't know if im gonna keep playing because i started playing a zelda game that im really invested in right now

Oof! Nice memories when I first played Pokemon Moon on my 3ds.
Yeah, like, 4 hours are literally a tutorial on how the game works, which is a shame because most of the fanbase has been playing these games since 1998/2000.

I too fealt annoyed by the exact same stuff plus the very first "Totem Pokemon" fight.

But the main appeal to me (on Pokemon games) is the sense of discovery and exploration the game gives you. Also finding old Pokemons is really joyful for me.

Don't worry, the game gets better as you progress through it. :yay:

Gals, I got Pokémon moon for my 3DS as well as Pokémon ultra moon. Because I got all the Pokémon in the Alola region. And also, in my Pokémon ultra moon, I have became the Alola champion!

Hey, Manuela! Have you played the ORAS remake? If not, play it as soon as you can.

I eventually had to contact a domestic abuse advocate to help me get out of the apartment I was in a lease with her. And filed a restraining order on her cuz she kept harassing me after i left her.

@RedColoredStars, my phone is from around 2019
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Mine was from 2017. lolol. I just got this new one like 6 months ago. Not even new, second hand cheapo $40 phone. But it has usb c. lol
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I cant justify $1k+ on a nice ass phone. I can spend that on a 75" tv screen. Why a 6" screen device cost me the same? lol

I had a iPhone 5 for like 6 years, till last year, and had to get new phone, when phone companies stop using the cdna networks, which the iphone5 used.

Nah a phones going to always be more powerful than a TV if the TVs $2grand maybe but why when I can put a smaller device in my pocket that does basically everything a TV already does

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I can justify a decent $800 smartphone that'll last 3 years when I could get a 65" TV for $400 and buy a decent micro computer for $100 more
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Tbf there are decent $400 smartphones in today's market that make top end spec phones unjust it's just what you want
