Unexpected first night in new house. Cats not too happy but luckily we had gotten cat carriers from an earlier scare so were ready to go. Went to shops and bought some bread and milk to eat in the morning and cat litter and tray and luckily sister had a spare bar fridge I could borrow. It is like camping 
But hopefully not permanent and old house will survive the night. Have a lot of sentimental things I wouldn't want to lose

Could lose house tomorrow. Have been packing in the last few days and have a moving truck tomorrow morning so fingers crossed I am out in time.

It is more than twice as big now but mainly burning south rather than north thanks to firies efforts to save the city and the village of Tharwa.
It has destroyed properties in villages along the highway.
It is very, very frightening.
I managed to get most of my stuff moved out though which is good. Still hope I don't lose the house.
