Looks interesting. Do you have a TS-100 soldering iron that you could compare it to? Because from the price point it looks like this is a direct competitor.
@DinohScene Who do you think is gonna be ending it ? (❁´◡`❁)
@enarky I actually don't have a TS-100, but I have used one before. I paid £20 for the main unit, the handle and the T12 Clone Tip. I bought it because my soldering station decided to die, If I was working right now I could have just taken it in to work and fixed it in less than half an hour. I've had it at least 25 years and it was second hand when i got it so lord only knows how old it actually is. I'll fix it and put in storage for now as sort of a semi-retired back up.
If this is as good as people say then I will end up getting the bigger version for my desk and making battery pack for this one so I can throw it in my tool kit. Keep an eye on the review section of the site as I will be throwing up a full review and if it is worth it.
I don't know why but this blog has just reminded me how annoying it is every time I hear Americans mispronounce Solder. Why the heck do they say Sodder and not Solder it makes zero sense
Oh god yes @AmandaRose Have you ever seen a guy on YouTube "Minty Comedic Arts " ? if not go watch his Jumanji video ... see how long you last. I mean he's a great guy does fantastic entertaining videos ... but he has at least one mispronunciation per video
