Just arrived, guess what's inside :)

Amazon just dropped me this huge package :) BIG SURPRISE INSIDE!
edit: seems average IQ here is below the standard, here's a HINT :D 600x450x150mm
edit2: here's another hint, the content was designed and made by little Chinese bro who had massive arguments when they were young with his BIG bro over the house :)
LAST HINT: here's last HINT: it's made in Taiwan (little chinese fought Big bro chinese over territories)
the size 600x450x150mm
it's not a monitor, but it has monitor....
then what is it?

Anyone wanna try to guess what's inside the box?

Spanish layout is OKish... at least it is not the German qwertz or French azerty aberrations /s

@sarkwalvein yep, like italian even spanish uses ' ì which is great, but for some unknown reason italian keyboard has ''§'' and it's useless, none of italian words uses it, i knew german uses § alot, like Isst mein Schei§!!! xD

Our keyboards have | § next to the 1 key, and I've never found a use for that § symbol. What is it even for?

Nah, it's Scheiss or Scheiß, with Eszett.
The § symbol is used to mark paragraphs, as in §3 for paragraph 3.
It is used a lot in Germany in legal documents and contracts.

I still read books, the paper ones, but never found any §...perhaps our grand-grandpas use it a lot?
like my last laptop, it will last for at least 5 years or even more, so every cents are well spent.

nope, that isn't what i looking for: i remmeber many gaming book offer chiper price becauce lack of OS and HDD, mine comes with SSD, so i genuilly ask if i can install one addictional HDD.......

@leon315 According to MSI's website, it has 2 m.2 slots and a 2.5" drive bay. Looks like only one m.2 slot is in use on yours. You should open it up to verify.

that's nice! if only M2 slot has been use, then certainly there's a free slot for 2,5' HDD!

HOLY CARP thats a lot of money. $2000

I just made a custom pc for about half that price. Ryzen 3600+ RTX 2080 Super

but many many sheeps would pay 1000 bucks for an miserable Iphone, say you?

More like $1500 these days.
A phone to me is not worth nearly as much as a PC even though they cost about the same these days. A PC is just a far more powerful and flexible device.

  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    heres ps4/5
emulation (it is far from playing actual games yet but its something) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qe71pCjC9U
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I thought PS4/5 and Xbox One emulation would be kind of easy since they basically just a PC
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    they sorta are a pc
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Damn Frontier is offering 5Gbps now lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I honestly can't recommend any of the big 3 this years I'd say buy a rog ally z1 if we're being honest
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Honestly after the PS3 and 360 I just went full PC
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Every games basically cross platform they only have about 6 titles making it worth the $600 price tag
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah even bt support for Xbox one controllers are just as easy as pairing
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
