why I hate certain OSs

I don't have alot of time so im just gonna bullet point crap

IOS

fw

very little user privs
pictures use alot of space
notifications cover part of the screen
lock screen is crap
no room for customizing without jailbreak
kinda battery heavy
too much stuff needs location services

hw

ios devices lack things like a back button or a menu button
very easy to dammage
can't switch batteries otg
new stuff has no aux port
you can't use external storage listen to music or charge at the same time
you need adapters for everything

there's more but I would need to pick apart ios again not just look at stuff that's simple

windows

fw

autoruns exe files
no autorun config
hates daulbooting
uses a crap fs
updates tske FOREVER
needs a license key
is on everything but I don't want to pay an extra $100 just for replacement parts for my laptop cuz of a preinstalled os
hell to build stuff using
cannot mount partitions with invalid sizes
no ext4 fs support
creates hudden files in every directory that we don't need
have to delete files twice
slow af
cpu heavy

hw

almost every windows device has an intel processer and low internal storage that is expensive to replace nowadays

Could very well be @smileyhead :P

@Eix, you know, almost all the negatives you listed about windows can be easily prevented by tweaking a couple settings here and there. Windows allows for the most support out of all OSs (libraries-wise) except for Unix and I doubt you are using Unix. Also, dualboot isn't even a windows thing...

I see you did almost no research, also that's not Window's fault

I use windows for everything on my laptop or desktop. *Le gaspe* I would switch to Linux/Hackintosh in as heartbeat if Overwatch was on it. But nope... F. (No wine doesn't count. It's getting there, but not at a point I want yet.)

"have to delete files twice" Haven't discovered Shift+Delete yet? ;)
"autoruns exe files" that hasn't been a thing in ages, and yes it is configurable (in fact it asks you to configure it every time you plug in a new drive)
"creates hudden files in every directory that we don't need" only in folders that have images, and cached thumbnails do serve a purpose as thumbnails can take quite a while to load with no cache. You should look at OSX, it's far worse, it actually does create hidden files (and sometimes folders) in every directory.

''low internal storage that is expensive to replace nowadays'' in win devices, that's not very convincing from some who also owns apple things

Windows NTFS is crap, but that does not mean that it is always slow, that sounds like a personal problem to me. I have several Windows boxes that run as well as my Linux boxes.

My quick response to your post as i also don't have a lot of time

autoruns exe files - only if you allow it
no autorun config - yes it does - https://www.howtogeek.com/236241/how-to-enable-disable-and-customize-autoplay-in-windows-10/
hates daulbooting - no problems here
uses a crap fs - i disagree
updates tske FOREVER - you likely have a very low end pc
needs a license key - It's paid for software
is on everything but I don't want to pay an extra $100 just for replacement parts for my laptop cuz of a preinstalled os - unless you change the motherboard its not an issue and only the OEM would actually do that so you'd get the laptop back with a working licence
hell to build stuff using - no idea what you mean
cannot mount partitions with invalid sizes - never been an issue
no ext4 fs support - store files you wish to share on a dualboot using an ExFAT parition, any modern OS can read / write to this
creates hudden files in every directory that we don't need - dont show hidden files?
have to delete files twice - learn how to configure windows
slow af - again you have a crap PC
cpu heavy - see previous point

E
from the type style im 90% sure its @SSQ

Im picky about phone OS as well I like Android but not enough to use it on a daily basis I personally use a jailbroken iphone 6s the main issue I have with default ios are just a few cosmetic choices like the tweak Status Vol X (Volume bar on status bar) should be a default thing and i will admit with ios 11 they did fix a few issues i had with ios but still not enough to use it on stock firm

I have both a Windows PC and a Mac Book Pro and I prefer Apple's OS.

So most of my time is spent on a Mac. I do use my Windows PC for windows only programs that can't run on my Mac. Like the HCFR TV calibration software. I could run windows through bootcamp on my Mac, or use virtual machine, but I already have a Windows PC lying around so why not use it. And i'm to lazy to figure out how virtual machine works, or reboot bootcamp just for a few programs, then reboot back to Mac OS. So using two PC's simultaneously works fine.

Mac's new OS High Sierra uses the new APFS format for SSD's moving away from their older HFS+. You can technically convert it to that format on HDD's but you will see more of a benefit on SSD's. You get faster copy and paste speeds, faster boot times, and better security and stuff.

autoruns exe files
I'm not sure what the issue is?
no autorun config
I agree, well, there is the option, but it was locked away in later versions of windows
hates daulbooting
what do you mean?
needs a license key
they kinda have to sell it to make a profit so they have to have some sort of drm, and it's normally a one and done thing
is on everything but I don't want to pay an extra $100 just for replacement parts for my laptop cuz of a preinstalled os
pc master race, screw pre builts
hell to build stuff using
I'm not sure what you mean
have to delete files twice
set the recycle bin allocation size to zero and it will default to just saying not enough room to put in recycle bin and ask if you want to permanently delete instead
almost every windows device has an intel processer and low internal storage that is expensive to replace nowadays
again, pc master race
