Why i refuse to buy (ultra) moon / sun

1. It is Literally a Remake of last year except these lazy bums just put (ultra) glitter on it. and even their previous remakes were a billion times more better example (heartgold, soulsilver)
2.z-moves are boring barely use them and they add no real content to the game its literally just an extra move for that Pokemon
3.this is a DLC of sun and moon

At this point in my own opinion Nintendo has stopped making these games for the original fans of the franchise and is just targeting children that haven't developed yet, all for the sake of money. yet this franchise has so much potential but they refuse to give the fans what they want.

I agree with everything you said except "this franchise has so much potential". I think they've already milked the crap out of it so its potential has long been used up.
it does because pokemon games have always been limted by the hardware because the specs in Nintendos handheld were always very dated we will finally get a true 3d pokemon game on the switch

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

there isn't much more post game story then sun and moon though instead of the looker ub mission theres rainbow rocket which doen't take long to beat

Just like Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum... They have done this for 20 years, whats the problem now? Two games and not one? Is still the same. If you have played Pokemon before you would know how this works by now.

i agree but at the same time i disagree because my complaint is towards Nintendo lack of creativity and underhanded money scheme methods i feel like they put in a gay fashion designer to be in charge of this remake

It's not Nintendo's fault, people blame them too much when they should look more at the dev team, Game Freak. Focus your rants on them. Not that I agree with you, and Game Freak people said in interviews that the staff for these games were half the size of SM, and featured more young blood as the older guys work on Pokemon Switch. I have to believe younger people worked on this because only the relative youth would have an ear and eye on the competitive scene, because Defog is now a tutor move, only someone who knows the competitive scene knows how valuable Defog is and how restrictive it was due to it being a Gen 4 HM. So I appreciate that. Having played through UM, I think the story is slightly better, they gave more definitive endings to Guzma and Lusamine, Lillie was slightly less annoying, they failed on Hau though, I hate him even more. The AI is slightly smarter, I did struggle, but granted my team lacked diversity and needed to be overleveled and fully evolved to plow through the rest of the game.

Overall it's just a step above SM, the real draws are the tutor moves, VGC18 being much more attractive and inclusive (the whole national dex barring the typical banned cover legends and mythicals, and Ash-Greninja), and being able to get every single non-Mythical legend in the games, and supposedly an infinite amount of Ultra Beasts? It meets my expectations, that's all I want out of Game Freak. They bowed out of 3DS gracefully and competently, the big cooker will be the Switch title, that has to blow everyone away. So, my expectations for that will be higher.

I could really care less what your opinions are. It's not like they're going to stop the vast majority of Pokemon fans from purchasing the games.

It's got new folks on this game, so I'm hoping it'll feel a bit of a fresh air. I'm fine with the reuse of resources, so I'm looking forward to the structure of the game. Probably be like black/white 2. Or platinum or something.

O
It's mainly just overpriced dlc packaged with the same game you bought a year ago.Nothing different from emerald and platinum except for mabe splitting it into two games instead of just one.

Ahhh, I hope you're not diminishing the value of Emerald and Platinum, because those games are awesome. Platinum solved the really annoying slow surfing, for one, both games featured the best post-game activity ever, to this day, HeartGold/SoulSilver did as well, Battle Frontier. Challenges that keep you playing for a long time, in fact currently I'm playing HeartGold for Battle Factory, trying to best my recently achieved 46 match winning streak. I'm partial to the rental system, my favorite aspect in Pokemon games, as it's just you, strategy, luck, no grinding. The USUM's version of that, Battle Agency, is nice to have, but errr, Festival Plaza dependent, only one on one battles? Why not 3 on 3? It's something though.

I think I'm going to find a save file to just do the endgame part, or I'm going to rush the game and transfer my old team via pkhex or pokebank if it works with pirated copies

I honestly really enjoyed USUM in comparison to SM. Granted I'm one of those people that always buy the extended editions of movies too because I love the extra tid bits regardless of how small if they add to the story; or even distract me for a second to show me something neat. I don't know why so many people are complaining. It's not even like Yellow, Crystal, Emerald etc..... They were literally the same exact scripted story with new pokemon and different static encounters. This game actually added a ton of little things in addition to a "revamped" story that I think made it a lot more interesting and fun. Let's see.... They made the cutscenes shorter so you have more play time and less watching, you get your pokemon almost immediately instead of after almost 30 mins as in SM, the dex recognizes unseen pokemon is cool, the totem stickers are also neat, the photo club is new, the mantine surf game is a lot of fun as well, as are the worm holes at the end. I mean I could go on and on, the neat way you can interact with overworld pokemon, new gift pokemon like surfing Pikachu, I even like the way the trials are different.. Again little things like mini cutscenes like the one with the "lost pokeball", or simple things like people mentioning more about past games, new move tutors, the whole necrozma thing; not to mention the postgame has a lot more to do than before, as well as having a longer story. I mean I'm pushing 50 hours and am about halfway through episode Rainbow Rocket....

Maybe I just enjoy tiny changes enough to count them as "different" vs almost the same thing. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and will more than likely play it again after a while. If you're ONLY worried about the competitive part of Pokemon then I don't get why you even buy the games; just use showdown to train and borrow someone else's save for your genned/bred team on a pirated copy. Don't say the entire game isn't worth it because it doesn't fit your narrow agenda.

Well I skipped Sun and Moon. If Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon pose a challenge for people who have been playing Pokemon since the days of Red and Blue then I'll one of them.

Dude, this is just another multi-verse of pokemon.
Like every other pokemon game they did in the past.
Nothing change, but it is just a new concept.
Also, they put lots of new features which will keep you excited.
Also, they give us the possibility to capture over 400 pokemons in this region alone.
I recommend this game for players that miss out on sun and moon.
Ultra is way better.

I thought the same at first to but I tried it out anyway. All I'm saying is that you're missing out.

well for those who never played sumo...well, ya think it might be more worth it for them?

I'm not much of a Pokéfan but since you guys are talking about it, I've got a question...

What are Ultra Sun/Moon, in comparison to other games in the series? Are they like the "3rd in the pair" like Yellow, Crystal, Z (if they had made Z) except there are 2 of them, or are they supposed to be the "remakes" like FR/LG, HG/SS, OR/AS, which have typically come out 2 handheld generations after the originals? Or something more like Black 2 & White 2?

More like Black 2 and White 2. But better.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
