A bad friend

I know a certain friend who I always went to play with ever since we both were seven years old, we used to play videogames together, go out and do stupid things, and basically do everything lil' kids do with friends.

But as some of you may know by now, things change with time, I'm not talking about that he changed due to drugs, because he doesn't do drugs, or at least not that much anyway, I don't have proof yet. I'm talking about that he always seemed jealous of me, jealous because I had more friends than him, because of my irrational, sometimes cheerful, sometimes really angry behaviour, and because I treat people with more respect.
I didn't notice that at the time, but his jealousy would change his behaviour with me and others for the future.

By the time we got to the high school we were a bit distant, and we would be more distant with each passing day, making him even more jealous because I hung out with other friends, even though we both were on the same class.

Fast forward seven years, almost my entire class quitted high school due to *some troublesome teachers who treated us like the worst scum ever*. I was in a very bad mood, really really depressed, mostly because I:

a)Didn't think I'll end up quitting high school, I always got very high marks until then.
b)My very first girlfriend, and the only one I've had (still true to this day), cheated on me and left me alone, so we obviously broke up, leaving me even more depressed

I thought about that situation for three months, and later on I decided that I wanted to do a computer-related module (I don't know how it's called on other countries, in Spain is called that way), so I went to Ibiza, the neighboring island, to apply for the module, but since I applied a month and a half later than supposed I would have loss a bit of class, but I didn't care.

Well, it turns out that my friend happened to apply for the same fucking class as me, and when he saw me in there, he started spreading misinformation about me on the class, saying bullshit like "His girlfriend was a slut and he wants to suicide because of that" or "He likes to cut his wrists, he's really depressed".
I never wanted to break his face so much, but since I always treat everyone nicely, I didn't even show a slight expression of anger and replied with a dull "Hello".
A year later, he still does the same, and the entire class knows that it's not true, he always brags about his girlfriend (which he changes every few months :/) and keeps telling that I'm a sucker because I had only one gf and never had sex with her(?.
Good thing no one from my class knows that I still meet with my ex-gf when we can, since we are on different cities, and that I'm not a virgin anymore.

By the end of this year, since I will move to a different city, I will tell him to fuck off and that he's the worst guy I ever had the disgrace to meet, meanwhile I'm just writing this blog while listening to The Offspring and waiting for the ferry to arrive to the island I live.
And if you've read this entire blog entry: Congratulations! You deserve a cookie!

Just ignore him and hang out with his friends. I think that's the worst possible thing you could do to him.

its weird, if he was jealous of you, why he didn't went with you and your friends, so he could befriend them too

NExt time in class, walk up behind him and slam his face into the fucking keyboard. Bastards like that don't deserve any respect. tell him exactly what you've typed. Give him a fucking shock.

A lot of my friends who were all underage turned to chewing tobacco, vaping, and alcohol last year at my high school. It's one of the main reasons why I went to college full time as a high schooler and left my old high school this year, because I had to watch some of my best friends go screw up their lives and family situations. So I understand how it's like to see one of your best friends turn into someone completely different. I do respect my friends for not trying to pressure me into drugs after the first few times, they respected my stance against alcohol and tobacco. I also left and went to college because high school got boring and it really wasn't too big of a challenge for me. My college is a whole lot better than high school Imo, I've met some really cool people and everyone's pretty friendly.

What goes around comes around, karma can be a bitch.
.
edit: What i mean is if you give him enough rope he will hang him self, its a term we use in the UK and it means he will get what he deserves by his own wrong doings.

@BlueFox gui Well, he's the kind of guy who is an attention-whore and wants the attention of everyone, by any means necessary

@WeedZ Well, its pretty difficult to ignore him atm because he sits right next to me, I try my best to do it and he tries really hard to get the attention of everyone on class by doing stupid shit over and over.

@StarGazerTom Well, one time I almost did it but as I said I don't treat anyone badly.
But one day I'll be more annoyed and I'll hit him for sure >:]

@rileysrjay Yeah, my new class is infinitely better than the high school I used to go too.
Better, much more cool teachers that treat you like a friend and make jokes with you, and a better class ambient overall, with nice classmates :)

@mech Well, I do hope karma will arrive, I'm patient though and I can wait as long as it likes

Same for me. I grew up with my classmate.. my best male friend until in 9 or 10 grade. He changed thanks to his idiot fake friends. Now, he dont friends with that fake friends anymore. And he never contacted me ever. I blame him too because he was an idiot listening to his fake friends. About 20 years now, I think.. I wish that we are still best male friends because I sometimes think about him. Does he think about me sometime as brothers or something ? DOnt know. So I have to move on and find better person in my life and I did but I never forgot him anyway. I dont hate him but disappointed in his behavior thats all.

Cookies always make friends. :P

I know for a fact, I was in school and this person always shared cookies with me, we became friends, we played pokemon, mega man and read books like that MAD magazine. It all started with peanut butter chocolate chip cookies that had frosting that look like a smile. He said his mom baked them for him for his lunches and gives him extra for making friends. It worked. At graduation i ended up sitting with him at the same table with both our families... though he was valedictorian. Cookies work. :)

People come and go.
That's life.

I have 0 friends leftover from childhood nor schools.
Not particularly bothered by it neither.

@DinohScene I do still have two friends who I know since we were 4 years old, we don't talk that much now, but they are good friends nonetheless :)

@THEELEMENTKH
Cute of you, but... :/

Making friends is generally hard, because people are different. Especially hard is to find some in the "special" age of 15, with same interests, I think we all know what I mean. (I hope ._.)

Making friends in the Internet is even harder, because you really know nothing about the person. What you write and say are different things...

I can say for myself that i mostly made/ making bad experience with people, rarely good.

And dont forget the language barriers, 40% of the words i checked by googling them. (Cause i speak german.)

Generally speaking, humanity is garbage and it will disappoint you 99% of the time. Best to just befriend animals. Animals (dogs, cats, squirrels, bunnies, etc) do not scheme, gossip, plot, corrupt, etc... They don't have feelings of greed, hate, jealousy, etc... They are pure at heart. Humans on the other hand... Most are greedy, scheming, exploitative pieces of trash. That's been my experience in a nutshell. Not saying that I'm perfect, but calling it for what it is has made life much easier, and much more predictable;).
