The DOS Experiment Chapter 1: Getting Started.

Now this isn't really an experiment but more of just a "i'm bored" thing.

Basically I gotten into DOS a bit recently and installed Windows 3.1 and some stuff onto it. I then decided "Hmm, what if for one whole day I only used DOS?".

Now I am using the latest version of DOSBOX.

One thing I will say though is that I will allow myself to watch videos on my tablet. Because i'd just be too bored heh.

Today i'm getting stuff ready by adding stuff.

Now do you guy's know any games that are platformers and have a level editor? I tried The Pack Rat but I can't find a non-shareware version of it.

Anyways, I'll let you guy's know when I do it and I will post again after I do it.

1. I live like in the middle of nowhere, it takes me like 10 minutes to go to the grocery store, so I don't think I could find a DOS machine and some floppy disks.
2. I don't have the money to be spending.
3. I'm a kid, so I can't just be like "OK fine" and try to get one.

I feel old, I should die of old age already.

- SarkW, used DOS daily from 1988 to 1998, because it was all that was available, and if you lived back then you will know nobody gamed on Windows 95.

well you can play all your dos games at the speed you're supposed to be playing them at and its not emulated pretty much any game you could play with ms dos would work with freedos

What do you mean I cam play any game at the speed they are supposed to be in? I could always configure it you know. Also the same goes with DOSBOX for playing any MS-DOS game, it's a emulator so of course it can play them. Also I don't care if it's an emulator or not. I like the setup it is and I don't want to change. I like the way it is.

    Well, I had read that thread already, it does not mention moving saves from Emulator to OFW. Also I am not planning to edit/modify a save file. Just play a save file on an emulator, and then move it to OFW and play it on my switch.

    I wouldn't risk it, but do what you want. A console ban is loss of all online play, of any games.

    @BigOnYa, I try to do a gdevelop event to make an enemy fire bullets if it is on screen and its in colision with a platform, but it doesnt work (and yes i downloaded the "is on screen" condition extension)
