An actual issue I have.

This is the weirdest thing ever right but whenever somebody says ANYTHING, I can usually link it to a song. literally my entire life has become one big music reference, I can't remember the last time I voice chatted with someone that they didn't say at least 10 sentences an hour that made me think of some god forsaken Emo song

How the fuck did this even happen, I'm good at remembering lyrics, hell I know all the songs of a band that's been making music since like 1993 (they have 14 albums)for god's sake but it suddenly just got this bad, I only really listen to 5 bands
BAZXfuQ.png

but I somehow know how to link literally anything anyone says to either a title, or some of the dumbass fucking lyrics, people already think I'm sort of obsessed, I don't need them thinking I'm actually fucking insane, what the fuck.

EDIT: This post has made me realize I actually haven't added My Chemical Romance's 2 albums I like to my playlist yet, oops
so yeah I listen to like 6 bands

I have a similar ability, despite not really caring for music all that much (guess it is related to remembering most conversations). Most of them are incredibly silly songs (typically piss take metal, ska or punk, or novelty songs from the 40s onwards) so I tend to use it solely to take the piss in a variety of ways, usually to be very rude but with the shield of quoting "partially" relevant song lyrics.

Blogs about songs so song

and possibly a bit too obvious but why not

I noticed something similar. I am addicted to music. like, I get really stressed if I haven't listened to music in awhile. the level of relief i receive when i finally put on my headphones after not listening to music for awhile is insane. Which makes sense considering the psychology of it. Music releases dopamine into your body.

I tend to listen to more rap and R&B than other genres so, if i don't catch a lyric from someone talking, i can at least just think up possible freestyles to what they say.

I only listen to 5 bands
788 songs

That's a ok number. Might mean the songs have some generic lyrics. Also what site is that?

You guys should really expand your horizons. 4-5 bands, why? So much good music out there.

Maybe that's why the songs stay in your head.

Your life is like one big music reference?

So, in other words, your life is like one big JOJOKE?!

I am so sorry.

The severe lack of Hands like Houses, Oceans Ate Alaska, The Gift of Ghosts, Attack Attack!, Jamie's elsewhere, Dance gavin Dance, Chiodos, The Amity Affliction, Silverstein, BC13 and Dot Dot Curve (scrap the last two, their Crunk and for old Scenekids only...) made me terribly disappointed in you.
However, Since you replay Funeral a billion times over, I forgive you young grasshopper.

@VinLark I don't like my playlists to be too big, also that's not a site it's a program called MusicBee

@2Hack I always got my headphones on me :)
@B_E_P_I_S_M_A_N you deserve a slow terrible death for that pun
@Benja81 I rarely find some new bands I like I listened to the band "Something Corporate" for a little bit but I got bored of them quick and I only recently started liking Fall Out Boy so I switched out Something Corporate from my playlist
@DinohScene tell me which one of them I should really check out and I'll check'em out!
@Hells Malice doesn't work with the Japanese stuff, I'm decent at understanding Japanese

Hands like Houses deffo.
Clean vocals.

Silverstein and Chiodos I vote for.
Tho Chiodos is mixed with raw/clean vocals.
I'd highly recommend Illuminaudio from Chiodos.
It's the only album where Brandom Bolmer  was in Chiodos.
Majority of the Chiodos fans hate it but I find it to be the best one they produced ever.
Don't get me wrong, Craig Owens is amazing but Bolmer just captures Chiodos better.

Gift of Ghosts I'd also recommend.
Feed her to the Sharks however... nah, to Scene, to little emo ;p

I can't really look at Fall Out Boy the same anymore, I can somewhat relate though.

Someone will say something and it immediately puts a song in your mind.

Wow, no Animal Collective, Blood Brothers, Thursday, AFI, S.O.A.D., Senses Fail, Coheed and Cambria, Bring Me The Horizon, or Justice? Not even Baby Metal.... You might need Father John Misty.

I'm glad Bring Me The Horizon was brought up. Although, i'm more into their "oldies" like Chelsea Smile

Guess it's time to make a non-shitposty comment for once...

In all seriousness though, give Emerson, Lake, and Palmer a try. I've also been listebing to some of Rush's Power Windows too, I kinda like the synth on that one.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
