Well Translation (script wise, images still need more figuring out) is basically done but needs someone who know Japanese to look it over and make sure it looks good.
(If you know Japanese & English quite well and would like to help please pm me)

With the images that need to be translated it still cannot be done until someone is able to make the files compress back to their proper file format. We only know how to decompress.

Another thing is we need to get our tool fixed up to do the things we need it to do, like actually import and new features to help make the script editing go smoother.

We still need to figure a way to add subtitles to the videos without actually editing the videos itself, so like hard coding them in. As we do not want to include copyrighted material.
As well we need to do a Variable Width Font hack so all the English text looks even better then it does now.

And as far as I can think right now this is where we currently stand.

Update: We are currently on hiatus for different reasons.

One would be that the team is a bit broken up right now with different projects being done right now, This can change once those other projects clear up.

The other reason would be because Granzella now owns the ip and we are being careful not to cause trouble with them.

We would like to see what they have planned for the series, as the last thing we would like is another Type-0.

Sorry for not having cleared this up sooner.

Considering that they do not seem to be as big of a company as Square Enix, and that they are probably focused on Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4, would what happened with Type-0 really happen with Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 3?

Just watched some gameplay videos and dang this has a lot of promise for a portable title!

Well, we are in GBATemp Hacking and homebrew forum where we do rom hacks and translation, and you are afraid of C&D from Granzella or waiting for an official english release?
NO. There will be no official english release. That will never happen. They havent release number 4 yet.

1. You don't know that there won't be an official English release.
2. Granzella can still C&D the project even if there never will be an English release.
3. Granzella has an English page for ZZT4 on their site which is extremely uncommon unless they plan to localize it: http://www.zettai-zetsumei.jp/en/
4. There are rumors on JP sites that if ZZT4 does well, that Granzella is going to remaster ZZT3. Meaning it's possible for ZZT3 to be released in English in the future too.
5. Respect the team's decision or don't comment on it because you're not contributing anything to the discussion.
