Hacking Xbox Backup Creator keeps freezing at random times

Like the title says.
I've been trying to make a backup all day now. Sometimes it freezes at like 7%, 15%, and now im at 29% and its frozen again.

I've made sucessful backups before, its just been a while since I've used it so I don't know what's wrong.

The disc is a little scratched but would that cause the app to freeze?

I'm using v2.9 Build 0425

Anyone else experience this? Thanks

Edit - Hmm I moved the power switch on my ck3i to a different position and now I get the disc read error instead of freezing.

Reboot you PC with the CK3 attached.
First of all, unplug it and unplug the CK3, so all the electricity goes away.
Even on the X360 USB/SATA card you have

Then repeat the steps you normally do but DO NOT EXECUTE ANY OTHER PROGRAM whilst backing up the game.

Sorry to necro my thread but I fixed my issue. I uninstalled the drivers for my vad6038 drive (through device manager), changed xbc properties to not run in compatibility mode(im running win7 64 bit).

Then reinstalled drivers for my drive (what windows does automatically). And now I'm having 0 problems.
