ROM Hack [WIP] MHX Translation Patch (ENG)

I love you for this. I also hope you will translate the cat related stuff as well. I finally managed to hire one and play as one for a gathering quest after 5 minutes of random guesses. My main goal is to play as a cat for end game.

I will provide an NTR plugin and an executable which can patch a romfs.bin.

Methods:
1. You can extract romfs.bin from a cia, patch it and rebuild a patched cia.
2. You can just use the NTR plugin with NTR CFW.
3. IF HANS should work you can use a patched romfs in the HANS folder (shortcut etc. willl be provided).

Note:
IF braindump works (which i doubt) you can dump a romfs.bin from the cartridge, if not you will have to acquire a romfs.bin elsewhere.

prepatched cia's are expected to pop up (built by using method 1).

This is what you can work with. The rest is up to you.

So there is no way for .3ds/.3dz users? Sorry not very familiar with this method.

Games only been out for a couple of hours. I installed the cia but gave up i was really confused on where to go even though i have prior MH experience with FU, Tri and 4U lol

No. The savedata is directly in the SD card and you don't need to do anything special to transfer it to a .cia or something like that. If you play with your cartridge or with a .cia the savegame will be the same.

NTR should work, but as it has been said, you can't go online if you're in NTR. Just install de .cia. As I said before you can use the same savegame normally.

Thank you, I think I'll just have to wait and see how this works out. It's just that I prefer the 3ds/3dz version because of I can easily repatch it if necessary without having to install it again and again.

Wow, are you human xD? This is probably the fastest translation I seen anyone do. I fully expect a month's wait for translation of anything, and here we are, not even official release date yet.

BTW, MHX is really hard to play without understanding anything. I went and grabbed a maccau hunt right off the bat since I can't read anything, no food, no cat, no heals. My weapon broke (rust red) and used up all the sharping stones from chest, and it is still not dead. A single tick from a small monster did like 20% of my HP, triple carted with broken weapon and 0 items left. I kill maccau regularly in 4 min in the demo without heals or cart ......

Anyone got tips on how to start out? I need $$ badly, if only to upgrade the crappy weapon so it doesn't break after 2 hits. What quest do I do for easy money?

You just gotta start doing the early quests. I dont think the hunts outside of quests are good for people in no armor. Need to get some armor, rare 3 or something before that.

Oh so .Cia save are on SD ? if i uninstal my game and instal a modded game the save doesn't uninstal ? cool and i have a N3DS in 9.0 + gateway 3DS + Sky3DS with Ninjhax for HBC so what i have to do ? thanks you ! ( i'm waiting for directly a modded game frenquently updated )

Maybe a bit late but for those who are starting, there is a 20 Jaggi/ 8 Jagga hunting quest near the end of HR1, gives good amount of $.$ and easy but tedious. After reduced myself to a little Jaggi farmer, finally got a rare 1 armor set (guess which monster >.>) with Attack S, and upgrade my weapon it doesn't go down below yellow in 2 hits and bounce off everything. Went back and cut that little maccau to tiny tiny tiny pieces.
