Wii U no signal

The console powers on and the led stays blue. Yes, I've tried hdmi, component and composite: no signal.
The firmware is 2.1.0J
The console doesn't power off if i press or hold the power button,
With the disc drive removed, the console powers off by itself after 2-3 seconds.

I've installed defuse 0.8 and dumped SLC and SLCCMPT, but i got tons of NAND page 0xXXXX: 0 uncorrectable, 1 corrected
If i write back the SLC and read it again i get 0 uncorrectable, 1 corrected only for pages 28D7, 9954. I did the same for SLCCMPT and there are no errors

I extracted the 1000400A folder and manually compared in a hex editor all the files with the downloaded ones from nus and are identical.

I downloaded the latest version of OS10 and placed the fw.img on the root of the sd card as ios_orig.img.
I managed to boot SDIO's version of recovery menu using UDPIH
But if I select Dump SLC + MLC / Dump SLC + clone MLC it freezes after dumping 1-3 mega of the slc. The led turns yellow.

SDIO can you please offer any advice?

You could use the Format redNAND option in minute. It will partition the SD and write the mlc to it's own partition. You can then use dd to copy it to a file on the PC.

If you have a complete backup, I would recommend to get all the latest MLC and SLC titles and use the wafel_setup_mlc with the lastest OSv10 fw.img. That would install the latest firmware and hopefully fix the problem in the process.
With the old firmware we can't do much, as all the patches are 5.5.x.

I can't use Format rednand because the console is 32gb and my biggest sd card is also 32gb.

I've put the slc titles on the sd card and used wafel_install.ipx (not the mlc version)
The led started blinking blue and after that it turned solid yellow.

Now UDPIH kind of works without defuse, the led turns purple, but there's no image.
I've used again defuse+ios_orig + recovery menu and SLC_checker reports no errors. SlC dumping works now.

How do I update BOOT1? Or doesn't even matter if it's an old version? Does FW5.5 even works with an old version of boot1?

why did you do this? Now you formatted the MLC. You have to use the wafel_setup_mlc now to install all the MLC titles and trigger the initial_setup. The wafel_install.ipx won't trigger the initial setup, which is now required, because you formatted the MLC.

If it works, you don't need to update boot1 for now.

I will solder the SD card. Maybe remove the MLC. The "best" card i have is 32gb, total commander shows a size of 30.578.684k
It writes with about 16-18 mega per second.

i wouldnt thrust that sd card with vacation photos... let alone soldering it inside a wiiu ... just buy a new one jesus they are dirt cheap nowadays.

I mean for testing it's probably fine, in the worst case the Wii U will see it as 8GB. But for a permanent install. But for a permanent install I would spend the 15-20 bucks on a 64GB Max Endurance card to be on the safe side. Also your card is a little slow, so with a new card you would not only get double the storage, but also better performance.

I've tripled check (under the microscope) the connections and all the wiring is ok. But...
I get the same errors when i try to copy the mlc titles.
Shouldn't wafel_destroy_mlc.ipx format the sd card? When I'm using it I'm getting the same message:

Did you remember to cut the clock trace? If you don't cut the trace the eMMC still has power and will override or interfere the connected SD card.

The connections are ok, because if i start it without the sd card, i'm getting different messages and doesn't say format complete.

Using your PC remove the partition and either don't format it or format it to fat32. See if the Wii U will then allow it to be written to. It's also possible that the card may be out of the spec for IOSu and you will need walfel unlimit. I went through quite a few SD cards before I found one that actually worked.

It's also possible that the card may be out of the spec for IOSu and you will need walfel unlimit. I went through quite a few SD cards before I found one that actually worked.
I've just tried fat32 and wafel unlimit. it still doesn't format it, But, I think it sees the sd card:

And it formats the mlc on every boot? That would indicate that the SD doesn't work correctly and maybe went read only. Can you check it with h2wtest?

If i leave that ipx file on the front sd card, yes. it's not read only because on the pc I can copy/delete files. But I will run the h2wtest. It will take a while on my old pc
