Indeedwith breakpoints you mean breakpoints in tcpgecko??
This is amazing news!Indeed
Well until we figure out the best way to send a screenshot through network in a reasonable amount of time, neither UCap for Gamepad recording or screenshots will be coming any time soonThis is amazing news!
Any plans/chances about bringing the screenshot-tab back?
Ok. Here. I will give you the definitive test. Can you make an exploit all on your own?I'm probably just begging like an idiot here, but can I please have a chance on using that exploit? Test me however you want.
How about saving it on SD/USB and transmitting it locally in the background thereafter (if at all over the network)?Well until we figure out the best way to send a screenshot through network in a reasonable amount of time, neither UCap for Gamepad recording or screenshots will be coming any time soon
Um, possibly, use that as a streaming buffer, since it'd need to be close to realtime. I need to see how libdrc does it :\How about saving it on SD/USB and transmitting it locally in the background thereafter (if at all over the network)?
If I make a screenshot I'd like it to be in lossless quality but an optional slider or sth similar that defines the "strength" of compression is presumably the best option to make everyone happy!
How to use TCP gecko?
I'm going to make tutorials about it as soon as the kernel exploit is out
But it won't be too different from generic hacking. Here are some interesting hints for beginners: http://doc.kodewerx.org/generic_code_hacking.html#known_value_searches
Speaking of which, are there plans on combining them maybe?Um, possibly, use that as a streaming buffer, since it'd need to be close to realtime. I need to see how libdrc does it :\

I mean libdrc wasn't updated since 2014 (although cross-platform was planned an not implemented) combining it with libwiiu would just make sense wouldn't it?
I know! It would still make sense to me!libdrc is a totally different project from libwiiu. The former is a library to talk to the Gamepad from the PC through your computer's network card, and the latter is a framework for running C code in the Wii U web browser.
The exploit will be released in one of these cases :
- Good reason for it : meaning there's a big demand for it by the homebrew community -> a lot of people having very clear use/plans for it.
- If it's patched : if a new update comes out and patches it, MN1 will not keep it hidden.
- The devs are working on a spoofing/emuNAND solution. if that's done, they will release the exploit.
There's a second exploit, so even if one got patched it's not very dramatic.
Screenshots should be possible. we would hook the end of whatever command refreshes the framebuffer, then copy the framebuffer someplace where we can take our time sending it over tcpgeckos socket.Well until we figure out the best way to send a screenshot through network in a reasonable amount of time, neither UCap for Gamepad recording or screenshots will be coming any time soon
When you stop asking.when the exploit will be <safe> on 5.4.0
Then code one yourself.Sorry,i'm not very patient
