No, because the text-only forum doesn't allow posting. You have to load the regular forum in order to post.

So the release kiddies will be able to keep track of all the news, but wouldn't be able to clog the forum with questions that have been asked a thousand times before, and either have been answered already, or can't be answered at the time ("will this work on PAL" leading the way).

And after the release, and everything has been covered by info releases and related topics, those who still have unanswered questions can post them. But I bet those will be a vast minority compared to those who only wanted to start the n-th identical thread.

I remember the site crashing a lot more when Pokemon D/P and Zelda PH were out.. but I don't remember GBATemp having this much people by those times.. Does the servers got and upgrade or something since then?

Don't know if something has been done , but seems a lot faster today. Haven't had a single "board is too busy" message or any mysql errors yet. Of course it could just be all the guests just waiting for ssbb are in a different timezone and it will come crashing down later

unless they changed it since 6 hours ago, you have to log in to view anything. A page comes up asking you just want to see if Brawl is released, in which case you can just watch the wii rss feed. Otherwise you can just sign in.
