@BL4Z3D247 I think that that only works with CFW.

Oh, I don't have any consoles that don't have CFW. People without CFW should still try it and report back wether or not it works for them.

Correct. Specifically it only works with a nightly version of Luma that is either 700d5727 or newer. Stub svc 0x59 = re-enable gspwn. Users of Corbenik or other CFW besides Luma are out of luck unless said patch is implemented.

that's not gonna help me updating to 11.3 the guide doesn't give you links to download firmwares
But do you really need to be on specifically 11.3? If you're trying to get CFW, the guide will downgrade you from 10.6, install cfw, and then update you to 11.4 safely.

I guess if you're using NTR you might want 11.3, but every update seems to temporarily patch NTR and it always bounces back in a couple weeks at most.

I'm already on cfw with arm9 installed I just figured it would be better to be on a newer firmware than 10.6 as some games might require i5

Ok, just trying to figure out what's wrong with 11.4. A9LH works fine on it, just seems like an extra hassle to arbitrarily update to the second-most recent version if you've already got Arm9 access.

I guess you're right. The normal build of Luma 6.6 breaks the HBL which proves exactly what you said. Thanks for clarifying.

OK and this ntr is that for running nds ROMs from SD card on 3ds?
No, it's primary uses are for cheat plug-ins, game mods, or if you were on a N3DS it would allow video streaming to a computer. There's a few other functions, but TWL_Loader is the app I believe you want for NDS backups, which I don't believe requires NTR.

Either way, I just use an R4 for that.

OK and ntr is still broken on 11.4 then correct? The chest plug in and game mods sound interesting

Luma patches can serve most of the same functions on cheats, I never got into the mods as I'm not sure how easy it is to swap between modded and unmodded versions if I don't have laptop available.

But correct, most stock firmware patches lately have temporarily patched out NTR-mode, and it's always fixed in a few weeks at most.

I believe that the BootNTR selector has been updated for 11.4. However, on N3DS, 11.4 does break video streaming. Not sure if everything else is still working.

No, BootNTR Selector works fine with 11.4. It just needed the correct addresses.

I said BootNTR, not BootNTR Selector. Just because the selector works doesn't mean that bootntr works properly. I refer to the 11.2 update as an example. We needed a bootntr update (which was done by astronautlevel2 at the time).

I think you mean NTR, the closed-source blob by @cell9. BootNTR just loads NTR CFW, and BootNTR selector is a mod of BootNTR.

Have you tried using BootNTR Selector on 11.4? I know it loads, but I haven't had time to test if cheats work. 11.4 definitely requires the NTR blob to be updated for video streaming, but it's not clear if other things were broken.

Cheats works fine, loading up the menu works fine. Everything seem to work (as far as I tested) except video streaming.

Wish they would let us play the NCAA football 14 on newer xbox, its one of the only games I love and own on disc still, that is not back compatible, bs.

@BigOnYa My dad recently bought a spare Series X off of me, got game pass, and saw Madden '24 on Game Pass, decided to try it out.

@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
