To be honest, I like both Pac-Mans, it's somewhat similar to Sonic's case redesigns some of them are good (Classic, Modern) while others aren't really all that great (Sonic Boom).

I also like the new PacMan design ...I think it's well thought out and not a bad design update at all. But it's good that in the Ralph's movie they didn't use it, since it's not really representative game-wise yet (what's not the case with the new Sonic design, that's probably even more representative than the older design nowadays).
