Should there a new thread for the health screens and requests?

Healthii is released you can make your own easily. But before you save the .wad file browse to the c:\healthii folder and it has 00000001.app in it. copy that to another folder and rename it 00000042.app or longer and you can use SoftMii Tweak installer. After you save the wad the temp files are erases though so you have to copy the app before you save.
Or you can use the wad, but that overwrites the system menu, unless he changed that and I don't think he did.

Hi All,

Is it worth waiting for version 1.0??
As i understood that it was almost complete and version 0.95 was pushed out as some users were screaming for it. ;-)

Forgive me if i understood things wrong!!!!!!

PS: I have gamma/backup loader installed ... does it needs uninstalling if i run softMii?

thanks,
SmartPC

You can go ahead and install 0.95 now if you want then 1.0 when it's out obviously. And no you don't have to uninstall gamma. You do need internet connecton for install.

Ok Im about to install this but just want to make sure.

I have version 3.2U and starfall installed,so I just start from phase 3 and onwards correct.

It reads phase 3 to me in the directions so i say go for it.

Ok cool,but for the life of me I can't get the preloader code to work for it to install.

Do you think it's possible to have the MD5 hash of the current "official" version of the mod pack up in the first post. Looks to me it's being hosted in many places, which isn't a bad thing, but it would be nice to make sure one is using the right one with any bug fixes that may have been applied.
Yep, i second that. It will prevent many users from bricking their wii.

All looks ok, but for some reason my original Wii Fit disk won't start ... screen remains Black. :'-(

I'm on a 3.2E version.

Before SoftMii the Wii Fit disk work like a charm {of course} :-(

Am i missing something?? maybe in the hacks.ini???

I have it only tested with one Backup, but for me it helped to disable the "force region" hack.

Thanks Sylvio2000 ..... I have been looking, but it does seem to work while using the Wii Fit Channel.

So not via the disk loader menu but only via the Wii fit Channel ... strange???

[edit]
PS.: I disabled the force region hack as well now ... as that indeed solves the issue of loading original disks via the disk loader.

Do other originals play through the disc channel? how about backups??

Backups are fine .... original disks aren't loading.
Disabling the force region hack seems to solve that issue, though.

Seems to be issues with the forced region hack on PAL consoles, all my backups play in black and white so i've disabled it too.

taken from the hacks.ini :

[Force Disc Region]
version=290
offset=0x81377B18
value=0x3C608000
[Force Disc Region]
version=290
offset=0x81377B1C
value=0x936300CC

it seems there are 2 Force Disc Region entries .... Maybe that is the issue??? only 1 is correct?

Looking at other hacks.ini ... there are 2 entries as well, so that should be ok.
Oh well ... for now disabling the Force Region hack solves my problem.
I will let the Guru's decide if that is the only way forward ;-)

Isnt it a contradiction with the region?

On the one hand there is a "region free" hack and on the other hand there is a "force region" hack. So what is it for?

I'm not sure of the difference to be honest, i guess the region free allows all region games to play where as the force region forces all games to be played in a particular region (NTSC maybe???) maybe i shouldn't speculate!

I have riiskimod installed with preloader v0.25. I put the softmii tweaks onto the sd card along with the image i wanted for health screen in the root of the sd card and softmii tweaks said it was installed successfully. pressed the home button to reboot, and i do not see the health screen. i even powered off the wii and turned it back on. no changes.

do i need preloader v0.26 for this to work?

it appears as if not changes were done even though softmii tweaks said it was installed ok.
