Here are some pics I just took with spiritofcat's advice. Caution, the 3d effect is
very strong! (it works best for me when I hold the system a little further away than usual and blink if it gets too uncomfortable.) I also used low light setting and 3 second delay to mitigate blur and graininess.
Edit: The one with the phone turned out very well, hehe.

Nice ones!
I think you might have gone a bit far with the pop-out adjustment though.
I dialed it back a bit to suit my preference.
My favourite setting is to have it aligned so that the table or the base of the object is at the level of the 3DS screen and then have just the object itself popping out.
That way the 3DS is still clearly visible and it looks like the object is really sticking out of it, rather than having the whole scene floating outside of the screen.
The one with the glass and the bowl of cereal is my favourite. I feel like I could reach out and touch the glass, it pops out so well.
The ones with the pen and pencil don't work quite so well because the pen or pencil sticks too far out to the side and doesn't match up as nicely for the 3D view. Especially the pen since it falls out the side of the image.
The one with the shiny taps doesn't work well for pop-out because the nearer tap originates outside the edge of the picture.

I don't know how to put images on the post, so I just leave the link here:
