i have 3 Revo's , i like playing on my pc and on the go on my revo k101 plus. theres one thing that bugs me , i have to convert my saves from vba to revo and vise versa. sadly they dont have a VBA to GB/GBC and vise versa converter. is there something i could do to get my GB/GBC games converted

PS: Revo Team Should Definately push an firmware update so there would be no need of a converter period, for it to be full compatible with vba

I feel you on this one.

The problem is that the emulator used is Goomba from what I understand. I can locate some instructions on how to convert save files but I'm fighting it every step of the way to figure out how to fix the issue.

From what I can gather the issue is that the Goomba emulator creates large save files that contain more data than is needed. I can find old instructions on how to break that data out but I cannot get it to work in VBA for the life of me.

So I'm pretty confused as to what is needed to create sav files compatible with VBA. Even when I follow the instructions (I think) I can't get them to load in VBA.

EDIT: Nevermind.... figured it out finally :P I wasn't creating a goomba.gba file.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
