************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Thank you. The second exception actually occurs because the app has not fully loaded when it tries to save its settings, which it does approximately every 5 minutes.
You may want to try this procedure which was for another message but that could still be related to yours.
Hello, and thank you for using Wii U USB Helper.
I am sorry that you are countering an issue.
It looks like your Windows Management Instrumentation might have gotten corrupted.
Please try to follow this procedure :

  1. Click Start, click Run, type wmimgmt.msc, and then click OK.
  2. Right-click WMI Control (Local), and then click Properties.
If you see 'Win32_Process' is an invalid class, then please follow these steps to repair your WMI.

1) In the start menu type "cmd" ( you may need an elevated prompt, Windows+X, Command Prompt (Admin))

2) Type "net stop winmgmt" and press Enter

3) Open Windows Explorer and locate C:\windows\system32\WBEM\
Rename Repository to something else like RepositoryOLD.

4) Restart the computer

5) In the start menu type "cmd" ( you may need an elevated prompt, Windows+X, Command Prompt (Admin))

6)Type "net stop winmgmt" and press enter

7) Type "winmgmt /resetRepository" and restart the computer again.

So I went in and checked wmimgmt.msc, and saw invalid namespace in the properties field. But when I try to stop winmgmt in an elevated command prompt, it tells me that the service cannot be controlled in its present state, which is a rather unhelpful message. Here's a screenshot of my properties and the command prompt window: http://imgur.com/WPcK6E8

EDIT: It doesn't seem as if my repository is corrupted; running winmgmt /verifyrepository tells me that it's consistent.

You're quite welcome !

Thank you for your feedback. It's quite hard for me to test this since my connection won't go over 500 kB/s. I will try to see if improvements can be made though.

I am sorry that you are encountering an issue.
Are you launching the app from Updater.exe?
feel free to ask if you want to check, i can reach 800mb/s.

This actually didn't help me much, but I did manage to fix the issue. For those who got the Invalid Namespace error on startup like I did, try recompiling your MOFs. I'll put the instructions to do so in a spoiler, shamelessly copied from this page: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/37...-else-can-i-try-to-avoid-reinstalling-windows

The recompile MOFs option
All WMI counters are defined in text files, the so called MOFs. If rebooting the respective computer didn't help, you could try to rebuild the counters by compiling the MOFs anew. This can be done with standard Windows means:

  1. Open a command prompt window (Run as Administrator) and change directory (cd) to %windir%\System32\wbem on 32bit Windows or %windir%\SysWOW64\wbem on 64bit Windows
  2. Enter the following commands:
  3. FOR /f %s in ('dir /b /s *.dll') do regsvr32 /s %s
  4. Net stop /y winmgmt
  5. FOR /f %s in ('dir /b *.mof *.mfl') do mofcomp %s
  6. Net start winmgmt

Does anyone know if there is a PC program that can install Wii U games onto a Wii U Formatted Hard Drive? Or is that even possible right now?

We can't even use the drive for normal read/writes on the PC, let alone install to it. But if we could write to it, the WiiU doesn't mind using a WiiU drive as an installation source.

How it can get games from NUS? Why nintendo don't block it? What is the excuse?
By design, the security is within the package itself, so there should be no need to protect the files from being downloaded. (The security is flawed, but that is the design.)

The way these utilities have been written, Nintendo could easily block downloads that are coming from them. It is very easy to distinguish these downloads from legitimate console-initiated ones. WiiU USB Helper makes no effort to hide that, and it tells you up front that you are making the choice to get the files with the program, so any consequence is yours alone.

This:
It depends. Valid tik file (basically the brazilian method), yes. Fake tik file, you need CFW to install AND play. You use wup to install in both cases.
But if you only want games that you can run without CFW, just uncheck the CFW Games box under the game list. Then you'll only see the ones that don't need it.

I don't do this often - but I wanted to come and congratulate and thank you for this application. It's intuitive, user friendly and it does what you ask it to. File names were always correct. Since i'm kind of a noob with wuds, this program was incredibly helpful. I'm not using CFW yet, since I don't know how risky it is, so I can't speak for DLC.

It's so well made, you could think it was made by nintendo themselves.

I have no problem using this and I don't have CFW. You only need it for Homebrew releases (VC games that use the injection) and DLC. I've installed Paper mario, Pokken and Kirby with this application and it works perfectly, no CFW needed.

I haven't tried online, I don't know the risks.

Edit: Welp, sorry for the double post.

Right. In this app, games where legitimate tickets are not available are tagged as "CFW Games". That's why I recommended to uncheck "CFW Games" if the poster doesn't want to have to run CFW. (Did you quote me by accident, or are you just adding on to what I said?)

I can assure you that you can't run a game that's tagged as a "CFW Game" unless you own the game on eShop, or you're running CFW/sigpatching of some sort.
