I heard of many bans in MHX recently with the patched version v1, v2, 3dz and cia.

So this is a warning to you outsite with any version of MHX: Please use this game NOT with a public header, make sure its your private one (not a private one from ebay...) Even better you use the CIA untouched version of this game online, maybe the patched one is at risk using online.

So if you got banned, which version did you used?

I know, but I want to make sure if these guys and my friend are not the only one, which are banned. I'll warn those ppl outsite because I think Big N did more against Homebrew Stuff, CFW and Flashcard users.

This is a given no need to make a thread about it.

While it may not be a given for everyone, it applies to every 3DS game when played from a Gateway or a Sky3DS; you must use private headers when playing online, or you are at a high risk of getting banned.
From what I've heard, those were temporary bans, and all the people who were banned and reported it in the previous thread were unbanned later on, but it's uncertain whether Nintendo could end up permanently banning you or not.
That, and I don't think we know just how long those bans last, if they are temporary.

Cia traditionally should never be banned but yea public headers are always a no no.

And not all people on ebay are bad. Ebay makes up for 40% of my weekly sales

Yes, but you can never guarantee if a game bought used from ebay has never had its header dumped for using online with GW/Sky.
Heck that could even apply to games sold as new/brand new, because it could actually be used but sold as new.

Patching has nothing to do with it. A cia file doesn't sue a header and uses the console id

But we all know: Using a japanese game on a european or american console as 3ds, cia or whatever, there is a risk for a ban, too. Nintendo knew your console ID which you're using online and they know from which region your 3DS is. And we know that using homebrew stuff is illegal if you already read the terms and conditions of Nintendo. So there is a risk for it using a different continent game on your console.

Are you trolling again? You can't get banned from using a CIA. There IS NO HEADER in a CIA. Your Console ID is the header. Now, they may be banning if you are running the game out of region, that is completely different.

I just read the other site, no one is stating they've been banned. Where are you coming up with this? lol

I was never trolling. I think you're only not informed enough. Sure, IT IS possible to get banned with a cia and some guys ARE already banned with a cia. READ the post above and you'll know why. Its not necessary if there is a header OR not.

Yes you heard right. Some chinese guys are banned with a CIA of this game I saw this on baidu. My friend got banned today with the patched cia version, too. Other guys are got banned for using the 3dz version with a public header (I already know this is stupid)

Yes, they basically can do this and they will do this.

My guess is that some people are running the translation patches/rom changes. Which, no surprise, would probably lead to a ban when none of the hashes match up.

Though if you had an untouched CIA of your own region, I'd find it hard to be banned, or perhaps triggered by some other title.

Is this ID the same across the whole device or would changing your emuNAND (swapping SD) change the ID ?
