Gaming Pokemon mystery gift cartridges

I've heard on the internet that the stores recieved a special cartridge which was used to give out special mystery gifts, and that some of them leaked on the internet

All i'm here to ask, has anyone managed to get a rom dump of any of these? Or even better, found out how to modify them?

I know you can make mystery gifts using pokesav but these can only be shared with 4 people at a time, what are the differences of the retail carts and is it even worth the hassle?

When you modify a distribution cart, do you still have to set the DS to the same date the original required, or can you set that data too?

The deoxys distro editor lets you set the date to whatever you want. The LPDCE only lets you remove it, though it may be possible to edit it.

No, as these methods distribute wondercards, instead of a trade, or else these carts wouldn't be able to send items, like the liberty pass etc.
