The Switch will never....EVER be a replacement for a handheld system. It was never meant to be one in the first place. It can barely survive off of it's charger or out of it's dock. It's too clunky to be a handheld system, plus it's not accessible. You can't fit it in your pocket and to my knowledge it doesn't have any actual programs for on the go play. (Streetpass ect.) It's just what the Wii U wasn't. A console that you can play on your tv, and when you're done with the tv then decide take with you...But the radius is much further lol. If you don't take graphics and power into account, the 3ds still seems like more of a portable system then the switch. PLUS, the 3ds has been selling way better than the wii u. I don't see why they wouldn't succeed it.
Considering how ballsy they got with the switch, they're either not of commission, or they are and they are just taking huge bets.
