And then they said mid october after that.

yeah they will probably delay it again, but the current deadline is not yet passed.

Wait a darn minute. I don't recall that "delayed till mid-October" always being there. Seriously I don't, was that always there?
Ok, I don't think it was always there. Every post including it was added on September 25th/26th.

most likely not. :)
Going through every post involving the video
First post: didn't mention it on Sep 22, 2017
Op of this thread last edited the thread on Sep 25, 2017
maxconsole also made their post on 22nd and edited it on Sep 26, 2017.
Looks like they quietly slid the delay in there a few days later and hoped no one would notice...to which I didn't notice.

I highly suggest anyone who preordered this cart to ask for a refund. This is the end of October and they are well past their second ETA. This is a very serious red flag for the future of this cart and proves that they can not be trusted with future updates. This is the same team that has spent 8 months without updating their previous cart and now about delay their new cart 2 months past the original release.
Even if this cart gets released, there’s simply no excusing the months of without proper updates. The team behind this cart are bad at their job and aren’t worth supporting.

I agree, this was their selling point with the sky3ds+ aswell. Fully updatable etc.
All I can see is empty promises for a high pricetag.

I think they havnt updated sky since theyre working on stargate but that doesnt excuse not suppporting thier current product which is as I said very pricy.

I got one that just sits and has been for a veery long time.

Every recent major flashcard release had delays. DSTWO Plus, Gateway, CycloDS iEvolution, DSTWO. There are many variables you can't calculate properly in a scene like this.

They were delayed by a few days to maybe a few weeks, but never 2 months. Not to mention the fact this is the Gateway team, the same team who have delayed their update for 8 months.
Please stop defending them and acting like this acceptable. We need to hold them accountable for their actions. They missed their second delay and didn’t even bother to make a delayed statement amount it like last time. It’s about time people start to wary about this cart.

So what do you suggest to others other than cancelling their pre-order, I don't plan on buying it or something, but this could end up like Kanoa earbuds, only if someone could review an early copy of it (which I hope will can them).

Personally I would suggest others to make future buyers be aware of the team behind this cart and the team’s more recent history. Coupled with suggesting users just buy an NTRBoot compatible cart over this cart.
Basically I suggest people just avoid this cart and encourage others to do the same. The team has proven time and again that they can’t be trusted when it comes to updates. They’ve also proven that they don’t care about their users. They have a Twitter account, yet never announced delays or progress, just leaving their users in the dark.

The DSTWO Plus was delayed a bit less than a year.
This is not some kind of wallmart custumer support problem. You can't sue anyone if it doesn't work. ALL flashcard manufacturers are some shady business and they probably don't even know internal how long stuff will take or why there are delays. This not some western business that can operate without restrictions.
Seriously, a few delays aren't the end of the world. There can even be longer delays while shipping a good from china to another place in the world.

Doing a quick look into the DSTWO+, I found most of the posts didn’t include an eta from them. Where as this cart has given two different dates.
Here’s the thing though, they still created this by not communicating with us. Delays suck, but are bound to happen. That’s not the issue though, the issue is that they continue to leave us in the dark over literally everything. They’ve only given us 2 updates on their site and haven’t even touched their Twitter. The delays wouldn’t be an issue if they tweeted that there was a delay. This isn’t just shady, it almost makes it look they like are avoiding us. People have already paid for this cart, but yet have no idea where their money has gone or when they are even going to get this cart. That’s just plain wrong when a tweet takes less than a minute to pump out.
At this point and time it should start considering users about future updates or even if the team will hangout long enough to give more than one update.

It's definitely a shady flashcart but you gotta admit, the features it has is kinda cool (Using a kernel that looks almost exactly like AKAIO and has a low power SoC, if only the Acekard had the CPU..). Just wish it actually existed lol.

They better hurry if they want to catch the pokemon goldmine.
Even then, all these sub-$20 ntrboot flashcards will likely have cornered most of the market already.

I dont care about the NTR and magnethax feature it has, it is more of the fact that the thing has a CPU, which could lead really good potential homebrew (who cares if the 3DS can do it alone already, flashcarts are old but they aren't obsolete damn it lol.)

It’s actually using a hacked (outdated with updated loaders) version of Wood R4. Which is based on the Acekard source, the same source akAIO is based on.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.
