Same here, the days when cloning wasn't big like it is today. The days when the Acekard ruled over the R4 while the R4 drooled begging for mercy which we never gave it lol. The days when the DS/DS Lite were the main consoles (DSi was fairly new still :P.)

I was an M3 girl back then. I miss those days.
Although personally akAIO > Wood R4

Cloning was absolutely huge during the DS era. A lot of the ds cards you see today are holdovers from that time.

R4 was cloned, if you look at the stuff we have today, you would realize we have way more than we did back then.

Oh damn lol, I never had one of those . I started with the Acekard. And EZ Flash III (orange cartridge) for GBA.

I had an M3 Real that I held onto until the day it died. I still have the M3 Real to this very day. I actually used to be a pretty dedicated M3 user back in the day and I still have two stickies in the M3 section. I then went from M3 to basically every other cart on the market that was in my price range.

I still have my Acekard 2i, which still works by the way (don't know how much longer it will last.) My EZ-Flash III orange is still missing somewhere in the garage lol.

How does this cartridge support NES/SNES/GBA emulation? Is it running them on board?

Yes just like the DSTWO/DSTWO+ did, supposedly the on board CPU uses less power though so it won't kill the battery quickly even in sleep mode. (If you were talking about the Stargate 3DS)

Heh, I keep a WinXP VM running just for the purposes of using the loading tool for my EZ-Flash II cart. That thing is still kicking along nicely. One of my favorites, along with my original Evo cart for my DS.

Its funny because they’ve already delayed it well past the September launch. It’s not even out yet and they’ve delayed it to death!

But Wood R4 is based on the Acekard R.P.G. kernel, which was out before AKAIO :P

To transfer games from PC to the card, or to upgrade the frameware or both.
