Any help would be greatly appreciated. I had an N3DS XL fail a while back, and I put it away for a while. I installed CFW on it originally following whatever was the current method on the 3ds,hacks.guide at the time. I can't remember the method used or what version I am on.

It was working fine for a while, can't remember if I did a NAND backup or anything.

Symptoms:
Regular power up = black screen, blue light, has sound
GodMode9 - Can't startup in Godmode
Luma - Can't start up Luma
Recovery Mode - Recovery mode fully functional, has display and sound. After I select update, it updates, turns off, and symptoms remain the same.

I've tried a few of the solutions I saw for similar issues (updating boot.firm, etc) to no avail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Disconnect the camera ribbon cable.

Luma3DS settings and GodMode9 not showing is strange. Under the given circumstances both should show up (if B9S is installed).

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
