Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

It shows up as G: but it says "No media".

I would think the card fried too, but it's a genuine SanDisk and only a few months old which makes it kind of unlikely; also the fact that it was working fine until I restarted after updating Luma. Also a reason I think it might not be "dead" is that I can read the available storage space in EmuNAND9. Help!

That doesn't mean jack. One of the reasons I stay away from SanDisk is they always seem to die quick

you can use cxi with cosmo cfw. if you want to use with luma you have to modify source code.

but the problem i cannot use fbi or anything for install game.
i alreday install fbi. dev menu on aureinand but after i swith to cosmo it not working.

It does show up as G:. But it says "No Media". So it has a drive letter, but that is about it.

The G: is your reader showing up, not your card. The "no media" is your reader showing that your card is not showing up. @Localhorst86 is correct and your card is dead. Most Sandisk cards have a lifetime warranty so it shouldn't be much trouble getting a new one. You just need a magnifying glass to read the darn serial number for an RMA. I've also skipped the mail-in requirement by taking before and after pics (the after pics being of the card being cut in half).

I have no good idea for your problem. but on the both way you need to modify the code. for cosmo diable signature check, for luma cxi injection.

if you have any coding skill just check some code for those function to add it.

Try to use Zero Assumption Recovery (you might find a cracked version somewhere) in order to recover your files from your SD card. As for your Emunand partition, I hope you already made a backup of it. I remember experiencing something similar, but with a 2GB SD card and a SuperCard GBA flashcard years ago. I was using Moonshell, but then it became unusable and unreformatable, and I was starting to panic. Then on the next day, I went to Circuit City, and I tried to use it on one of their display laptops. Luckily, one of them was able to read it, so I backed up the files, and reformated the SD card, and by miracle it became usable again. Maybe you should try different card readers.

luma already starts with signatures disabled. otherwise you cant start your cia's

I thought Luma3DS already had 3ds_injector.cxi build in with it and that @Aurora Wright only removed the copying of SecureInfo_A to ctrnand/rw/sys/SecureInfo_C on NAND from 3ds_injector, as it was done on each boot, so you just have to dump the SecureInfo_A, change it and inject back to the 3DS

Correct me if I'm wrong, in out of the scene for a while and I never did the region change

again, off topic... but the only counterfeit I've ever owned was a 256GB thumb drive and it was labeled as Kingston. I've had 1 Samsung Micro SD go bad on me. All others have been superior in both performance and price.

It's probably a personal issue. Everyone has different experiences, I myself had major issues with Kingston while all my SanDisk and Samsung cards have been without a flaw.

I get a black screen. So I'm assuming that Luma does not support unsigned SecureInfo_A files?

Yes, as any CFW files are stored on the SD card. It doesn't matter if it is A9lh or any other entry point.

I prefer type 1 myself, since it avoids potential boot loops when launching SysNAND, but whatever works for you. If you want to run boot.3dsx with your current setup, you need to install the HBL CIA. Because there's no way to have Luma run a .3dsx file that I'm aware of.

This is the final setup :

IF hold "L" before poweron goes to Original Sysnand
IF hold "L" after power on goes to Luma3DS Sysnand ( To install GBA and DSi )

If hold nothing, goes direct to "luma.3dsx" and boots direct LUMA3DS

Alredy inside emuNAND, i install HBL.cia, but it doesnt start "HBL" boot.3dsx it's start now "boot.3dsx" that belong BootManager that has many options like, HBL launcher and Xorpads and FBI configs.

It's not the perfect. But has all the options my friend wants.

Should be nice if was possible to hold a button and choose between boot "boot.3dsx" or "luma.3dsx" after power on.

one interesting thing, i used notepad++ to edit payload and change "boot.3dsx" to "luma.3dsx" was more and fast easy way for me.
